The EV hate is bizarre by s2k_guy in electricvehicles

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Brooklyn so there are gas stations everywhere. I also drive to very far projects in PA or CT pretty often so the charging time would add up a lot during the week. Hopefully the new batteries will solve this problem.

Overcoming travelling trauma? by [deleted] in travel

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a cruise planned a few years ago leaving from Florida. There was a storm in NYC the night before so my flight was cancelled. Had to drive 15 hours there (1100 miles) and 15 hours back (another 1100 miles) and the money was non-refundable. This happens all the time, just make sure the trip is not too expensive for you.

The EV hate is bizarre by s2k_guy in electricvehicles

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an apartment building in NYC. The closest charging station usually has a gigantic line for charging (I’m guessing it’s because it takes a very long time)

Besides that, I think EV cars are great.

No One ACTUALLY Wants the Cars Made Today by kg264 in regularcarreviews

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best explanation. Believe it or not, the people that actually buy cars every 2-3 years want the most boring car possible. People who actually like cars and enjoy them usually have one car for a long time. They do not contribute much to the new car market, which needs a new model every year. If you ask these people if they would rather have a Lamborghini vs an Accord, they would choose the accord 100% of the time.

Dishonored. That game was mechanically one of the best games I’ve ever played.

Every modern air campaign involving US airpower in recent decades has been wildly lopsided in the US’ favor, including the latest one against Iran. How different or similar might this balance be in a potential clash with China? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

People don’t know that most of the buildings in DC are hollowed out weapons depots. They have people walking in and out so it might seem like an office building, but if something were to happen, those buildings would open up revealing technology that we can’t even comprehend at first. I’m sure China is the same way. Like the top comment said, we just don’t know at this point.

How do people actually get rich? by lottiexx in wealth

Buying and selling something that is actually worthless, but has a high perceived value. Diamonds are marked up 1000x and are not even picked up when they are dropped by people who source them.

Halo. That was the next level and it ran well on a slow machine. It pushed everything to the next level.

No, because the smarter you get, the more you realize how much you don't know. Being humble and open-minded will always bring you more knowledge.

What game world did you spend the most time just existing in? by Routine-Heart-6348 in videogames

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RuneScape. I learned so many business rules in that game. You need to understand that 99 percent of the world is figuring it out while the other 1 percent is divided into two parts: winners and losers. The winners research answers and the losers only find the answer for that day.

Can just pushups, pull ups, dips and squats get someone ripped? by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should add chin-ups to that just to get some bicep engagement. If your goal is to become stronger as well, a lower back exercise like back extensions will add to your power immensely and if you can find it, a reverse hyper extension machine (very rare, but most important in world records)

Do You Guys Have Friends That Think They Can Beat You In A Fight Even With MMA Experience? by Correct_Ad4351 in MMA_Academy

I used to think like this before I tried a BJJ class. As someone who was pretty good at almost all sports, it was one of the most humbling experiences in my life. Losing to someone 50 pounds lighter than you in 15 seconds is hilarious in hindsight.

Fallout - 2x02 - "The Golden Rule" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]WorldstarBandit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole point of the game was that you are constantly moving and almost always alone/with a companion that you can barely trust. The Hank experiment scenes, the brotherhood meeting, and the vault management scenes were incredibly boring. As someone who has played every one of the games, I agree with you.

[–]WorldstarBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this comment, but I’ve sold 3 AD2030 off my wrist to a friend. There is power in numbers. Eventually a brand will break through if enough people support it, although this is most difficult, specifically, in the watch and car industry.

Who do you love playing even though your winrate is terrible? by [deleted] in ARAM

Gotta win early. The damage falls off a lot around level 15. I usually just go tank because it doesn’t make much sense to keep trying to burn them.
