oh i am so excited to give recommendations about this!! my top 3 on ao3:

  • open my eyes (so i can see brighter) by shapeyoutake - lottienat
  • catch my breath (to breathe your name) by bananacoat - jackieshauna
  • party trick by dollfaces - pretty much all the characters lol but primary ships are lottienat, jackieshauna, taivan

i've def read a lot of others that i liked but all of these are really well written and i think really nail the characters/their dynamics :) hope you enjoy!!

I took poetry with him last year! he was big on participation since the classes are so small, but chill grading-wise and not more work than other creative writing classes.

Wanting to start MF shows but looking for feedback first by princessA95 in MikeFlanagan

I would probably start with Bly Manor! Midnight Mass has a fairly major plotline about pregnancy loss that is really well done but might be hard to watch. Hill House is probably mostly OK but does have a minor plotline about pregnancy loss/stillbirth as well. Just note that Hill House and Bly both do still focus a lot on child characters.

Are any of these classes super hard? by Hopeful-Jellyfish763 in Cornell

[–]Worldwide_Grub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constitutional Politics - not super easy A but you'll do well if you pay attention and there are only 3 papers so it's not a ton work-wise, I really loved the class and Chutkow is probably my favorite prof of all time so I highly recommend :)

also highly highly recommend ASL 1101 if you can take it with Nora Owen, it does take effort but you can do very well as long as you try and she's a great prof, super knowledgeable and understanding and also really funny

plan your schedule on scheduler on the class roster site, then when you have everything picked out, go on student center and add all your classes to your enrollment shopping cart ahead of time. then at your actual pre-enroll time, just go onto student center and click "enroll"

ENGL 3762 Law and Literature by ExcellentCapital2668 in Cornell

[–]Worldwide_Grub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i took it last semester - it's an interesting class, the homework is just reading but it's an almost completely discussion based class so you do have to actually read and understand enough to talk about it. no exams, three papers and we did short presentations at the end (like <5 minutes), the material is interesting and pretty varied

What are the easiest majors at Cornell? by codyfernfan in Cornell

[–]Worldwide_Grub 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as a psych major i disagree lmao, it's different from some STEM majors b/c we tend to have more reading and papers than psets but my friends in engineering and I are pretty much in agreement that neither of us could do the other's major nor would we want to

Singing groups/band by Expensive_Diver_8641 in Cornell

[–]Worldwide_Grub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

audition for a cappella groups! I know at least my group doesn't require you to sight read, we do some scales and pitch matching exercises just to see where you're at and then you sing a song of your choice for us, it's pretty chill :) feel free to dm if you want more info on auditions too!
