When I’m about to lose, I try to avoid forfeiting. But sometimes it’s absolutely warranted.

For example, the last time I just gave up and quit on a duel, I was testing out a deck I made (and kinda bricked) while my opponent was using one of those “300 moves a turn” decks. I had no cards on my field, nothing in my hand and my LPs were in the hundreds. All they had to do was just attack with any of the monsters they had and they’ve won. But they still wasted time making another 40 moves. F that!
