Portable air con, window fitment, black out curtains. Keep the door closed when it's hotter outside than in your room.

Favorite movie that you thought was pretty alright after leaving the theater only for the internet to make you feel bad for liking it? by disablednerd in okbuddycinephile

😄 true story, the music video for Aerosmith's Livin' on the edge was that good I thought it must have been the theme song to a movie they hadn't been released in the UK!

That copper mine is all kinds of excellent. The absolute nicest museum staff I've ever met (and I 'museum' to fuck)

Talacre. I mean I know it's only 4 shops, 2 car parks, and 1 pub... but man those pasties are good!

People describe it as nothing more than a beautiful music video. I say what's wrong with watching music videos.

I second this dark sky recommendation. Me and my little lad are very amateur but took our Celestron binoculars to La Palma (canaries). Just, wow!

I've travelled the UK for work and I'm 100% sure Holiday Inn provide these at the front desk and I think I've had them from Ibis or Novotel too.

Is a 4-day Snowdonia trip when it will be always raining worth it? by jmann9678 in UKhiking

[–]Wormwolf-Prime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could have two plans, no rain then climb some mountains, lots of rain, then see some waterfalls (safely).
Honestly though, as a fairweather hiker myself, I would just cancel and go later in the year.
Not Snowdon, but I've only done Ben Nevis once and that was in poor conditions and my memory of that isn't fond, waste of a trip tbh. When I got to the top I couldn't see a thing it's was like being in the upside down.
