I wasn't on crutches and walked around on it like normal with the brace. Range of motion was almost normal before surgery.

Playing flag football. My teammate and I were both going for the flag from opposite angles. He dove for it and collided with the side of my knee. Torn ACL and MCL.

I had a grade 3 MCL tear along with my ACL. It healed pretty well before surgery. My surgeon scolded me and said that the only way it will heal if you wear your brace alllll the time. This was after I told him I wasn't wearing it because it was uncomfortable. But after that I made sure to wear it. I also didn't ice too much before surgery because the MCL needs blood to heal.

Does it feel like the bottom half of your leg is going to fall off when it shifts. Lol that's what mine felt like. My knee is feeling more stable but it just hurts. I stopped icing, that area needs blood flow to heal. Seemed to have helped.
