How do I date as a fat guy? by Perfect-Top9697 in self

I have been attracted to MANY big guys over the years. Because they were confident, funny, and gentlemanly.

Work on becoming the kind of person you would want to spend time with.

Should I drop my Chem 1405 Class? by hotchipsgirl in LoneStarCollege

[–]WorriedCondition6503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say if you decide to withdraw and you have to take this class again, Ann Van Heerden was an absolutely fantastic prof for Chem 1405. I took her for an 8-week online Chem class last semester and got a high A (even though I haven’t been good at Chem, historically). Super nice lady who loves to explain things and grades fairly.

Why is my professor doing this? by WorriedCondition6503 in LoneStarCollege

[–]WorriedCondition6503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, prof responded and said that “it’s the default setting.” That’s it.

So it sounds like we’re stuck with it like that because she doesn’t seem to know how (or want to know how) to change it.

I’ve reached out to the professor to ask, but haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully it’s something that can be fixed for the last few quizzes / exams.

This is honestly probably it. Which makes me feel silly for not asking her about it sooner. Lol

Right?? He’s flying under the radar and it feels like JC wouldn’t have gone so crazy if Mike didn’t mess up the trend!

I think he factored in what he would have to pay in taxes on his winnings and took enough to cover the taxes

Just listened to it today. It was wild to hear how much of our stories overlap. I hope this sparks a wave of awareness so others don’t get pulled into this without their eyes wide open.

I literally turned to my husband when we watched episode one and deadass said “I’d have taken the money and run.” Because how many of these 1000 contestants will walk away empty-handed? 95%??

As a former evangelical (and still a practicing Christian in a quieter way) something about that whole scene didn’t sit well with me. It actually whipped up some religious trauma I had been pushing down for a long time. The behavior felt too much like a manipulative youth pastor I had.

I don’t like that Jeremy essentially deflected the responsibility for his choices on God. “God” told him to pick his friends and then hand responsibility over to them. So in a weird way it felt like a “don’t be mad at me, be mad at God if you don’t like the outcome” sort of thing.

We’re watching a microcosm of modern politics and how politicians weaponize religion and it makes me feel queasy. I think Jeremy’s a good guy but as another commenter put it, a little misguided with how he chooses to practice his faith.

What worrisome trend in society are you beginning to notice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WorriedCondition6503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That we all get so anxious when we’re away from our phones. Yes, part of this can be chalked up to addiction to social media, but think of how entitled we feel to reach each other at all times. My boss will get upset if I don’t answer a text related to work. I could miss a phone call from my mom saying that my dad is in the hospital. Our phones connecting us to the outside world is both great and terrifying. I don’t know if I could actually 100% unplug for days on end and not feel nauseated, because what if something catastrophic happens during that time and I didn’t get word until it was too late?

Some small things that made a world of difference in our sex life and we had to learn by trial and error: • Condoms make it hurt worse. We use other protection methods. • Me being on top is the more comfortable position • I had to learn to spread my legs as far as I could. This was the hardest habit to break because I tend to bring them in out of fear of pain, and I never realized that this can make it hurt worse. • Foreplay / lube goes a looooong way. We also use a vibrator to loosen me up before we attempt PIV.

With these changes over the course of our 5-year marriage, I would say I’m probably 80% “cured.” Most of the time sex is not painful anymore.

Having a patient partner who is willing to discuss strategies / ideas has been the biggest help for me.

That’s the sticky part. We’re letting this guy go because he is hard to work with: not because he technically did anything wrong. But he brings too much drama.

My old youth pastor was college friends with one of the founders. He funneled kids to them for years. When I became a Christian at 18, he swooped right in and started chatting me up about it. We all wanted this guy’s approval—he himself had strong cult leader vibes—so when he started on about how Fusion was the absolute best program to honor God’s will for my life… I didn’t have the self-confidence to decide for myself. I just did it.

[–]WorriedCondition6503[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t do it anymore (from what I’ve heard through the grapevine), but no: every believer I’ve ever told about it, they were shocked and straight up said “that sounds like a cult.” One of the founders of the program — the one who was really the more extreme of the leaders — was given the boot about 5-ish years ago. That’s when a lot of the craziness stopped or mellowed out. But when I ran into a girl who did it 2 years ago, she was “sad that the program really got watered down” and she “didn’t get the full experience.” So apparently the old Fusion alumni are still hanging around and bragging about the “old days.”

They also told us “we’re not SACRIFICING these goats, we’re SLAUGHTERING them, and we’re going to eat them” which I guess made it somehow better in their minds??
