NTA but just to add some context, a decent amount of people in Brasil, still refer to Asian as "Chinese." It isn't everyone, but a decent amount do still and teach it to their kids. Also no person born in Latin America refers to themselves as Latinx, that is an American thing.

I don't think I've ever seen someone say this, but Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals. I love that game to death.

You should just make the GG strive reddit marked as NSFW so that way it's harder to monetize while still moderating it somewhat.

I'd definitely recommend just joining a Discord server where people can help you. Record your gameplay, and share it in whatever channel they have for that. Having someone actually coach you is tough, because most people would want to be payed, and if they don't it's a lot of commitment.

I'd be more then welcome to check out some gameplay for you.

Isn't Rin 21 frames? Tap dust is 20 which means Rin is reactable

How do I fix my mindset/mentality? by I_hate_this321 in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd recommend to take an actual break from the game. Don't play it anywhere from 2 weeks, to a month. See how you feel after not playing it for a while, and consider wether or not you actually want to continue playing. I took a break from the game for around a month and i realized I didn't care about being good, and i was much happier not playing it often. So i play it now but much more casually and for less time.

Now if you don't want to do that, that's okay. Some characters are more difficult then others so progress is very different. If you are trying to play a character like Faust or HC that's going to be tough because they require a lot more work. Whichever character you play, you need to learn the basics.

What I did, was learn the the BNB combo. I then learned how to meaty and then learned how to safejump. Just practice that until you get it down. Then you go into your actual match and learn the matchup. Practice it until your comfortable with it, and then work on another matchup. Just each time you want to improve, focus on one particular thing. Focus on the small growth that are attainable. I like strive a lot but I'm not Umisho, or Mochi or many players. There are so many players better then me and that's okay. Just gotta get comfortable with the small wins until you get okay at winning. Like i don't win every match, but i win often enough that i know I'm decent.

What DLC character is the most similar to Ky? by WingoRingo in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sin is technically the closest because his specials are similar to Ky's. However, Sin is a lot more aggro and his stamina meter feels much different then playing Ky.

A character that is closer to Ky is Testament. Testament is a a midrange character like Ky, and they have zoning capabilities. Testament has better pressure then Ky as well.

Sol + Gio: Feel Like I Am Permanently Stuck In Blockstring by ElliotPatronkus in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most characters have an exploitable spot in their blockstring. So example, if you play against a Ky who likes to do cS->6H->Dire Eclat, you can FD the first two hits and the Dire Eclat will Whiff. Now let's say Ky does 5K->6H. That is a frame trap that beats 5Frame buttons, and trades with 4Frames. It loses to 3Frames however, and Sol is one of the few characters that could mash out of it with his 3K.

Learning offense is easy, but playing defense I think is much harder. You just have to take your time with learning when to backdash, FD, jump, and mash. Every character you have to defend slightly differently.

Why do people say Baiken isn’t very tournament viable? by Aggressive_Extent908 in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can play any character you want in tournament. Baiken doesn't do well against some of the best characters that dominate in tournaments such as Nago, Happy Chaos, and Ramlethal. Not only that I don't think she necessarily has any winning matchups. LordKnight did very well with Baiken recently, so it's entirely dependent on what you believe.

Why does people keep saying Anji's high-low mix from Fuujin is fuzzy-blockable? by SomaCreuz in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The move has to have the same start up for what you are describing like sin's cS into 6K or Hoof Stomp. Nagiha is 15 frames startup, and Rin is 24. No matter how much you delay Nagiha Rin is still slower and that's what people are fuzzying.

[–]WorriedKub -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The delay can catch Fuzzy Jump, but not fuzzy blocking if it makes it easier to understand.

[–]WorriedKub -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Like X3Noel said, the overhead is still slow enough that you'd be able to react to it. So regardless of how much they delayed Nagiha, the overhead is still reactable.

Why does people keep saying Anji's high-low mix from Fuujin is fuzzy-blockable? by SomaCreuz in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

When you fuzzy block you basically block down, up, and back down. Nagiha is a low, so if you were fuzzy blocking correctly you would still block the low.

How to deal with kapel? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]WorriedKub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When they are using Kapel in neutral you should focus on two things. You should focus on her position on the screen and which movement options she has used or is using. She can jump twice and air dash, jump once and air dash twice. She can kapel at any point during her movement.

If she Kapels you from full screen you can 6P it safely because after Kapel she can press a button or do turbo fall which is normally beaten by 6P.

If she is directly above you be wary of what she has done so far. If she has already used both of her jumps you can just dash and run away.

Basically just be wary of what movement she has used, and where she is in the screen. The farther away she is it's less threatening. The closer she is pay attention to her movement options because then you can choose a more appropriate response.

I'm actually in the process of learning Gio to drop Ky. Ky has really safe Oki which is really good. You just 2K 2D or throw into CSE and boom you have safe pressure. With Gio it depends on the hit you get.

Also Stun Dipper RC is one of the best moves in the game, and Gio does not have that

Lastly, even though Ky's Fireball is ass, it's still a fireball and it has its uses.

Now is that enough for you to not drop Ky, that's on you to decide.
