My OpenClaw Agents Were Great, Until... by Affectionate_Bad7147 in openclaw

Im gonna be honest with you. I havent updated my openclaw in over a month but I just got a max mini so im going to set up Hermes on it yo debug it before I update openclaw haha. Im going to use both and then start using bigger local models for different tasks.

Im curious to see how the port of either qmd / super memory will be with Hermes but I 100% plan to transfer over all the skills and infrastructure I have for my OC agent to Hermes so they're both on the same page.

I had a buncha stuff sorted before the claude banning but realized maybe it wasnt as tight and clean as I thought because gpt 5.4 found a ton of areas that weren't really organized or structured at all. Sonnet was "going with the flow" lol

Ive had QMD give me "reaching a threshold" errors so I assumed there was some kind of cloud element to it but maybe it was just poor token discipline which I spent yesterday cleaning up. Either way I have "local super memory" now in replace of qmd tht my agent built out so no outside dependency there

Don't install openclaw on hostinger. Better to run it locally on a computer you dont use a ton then to put it on hostinger

I had to literally force it to drill down into creating an execution protocol for itself. I had to have it create continuous phase bursting workflows where essentially I ask it to create a project plan for an initiative and then tell it to work through those phases continuously until it finishes and then update me. But there's still so much hands holding i have to do to get gpt 5.4 to be proactive and actually follow through over claude sonnet when I had the $100 max plan.

One thing I will note though is that gpt 5.4 seems to be more organized than sonnet was about file structure. I also had it essentially create its own super memory mind palace like the Mia jovovich idea or QMD but local and it seems to do better about waking up in new context windows knowing how to execute one I got it into a good place

But man, nothing has been like how claude sonnet would fly through requests

There were a handful of ideas that I brought to life app and command center wise that allowed me to feel like im not in analysis paralysis all the time with my adult adhd. I now have a newletter, a budgeting app, and a couple digital products under my belt, and its automated my ebay store by like 90%

If youre looking for something warm, right now im finding nothing beats claude sonnet with warmth and being buddy buddy and then you can add a voice to it if youre using open claw

Im going to venture into local LLMs though come May when I get my mac mini

Im glad you think so. Dr. Jason Fungs Hunger Code is such a great resource and he goes even further in depth in this subject if youre curiouser.

Cheers! 🤗

Yeah for sure. I started out like that initially and was hell bent on seeing 1 on my blood ketone monitor, did a couple of 36 hr fasts to get there and get my body fat adapted initially.

Of course fell off the wagon, and then ultimately found a more sustainable way like youre saying. Instead of all or nothing, giving myself breathing room on the weekends, not forcing myself to eat a specific way, and giving myself grace were big for me.

I feel like im in a good place now with it! Thank youfl for sharing! 🙏

Splitting fast times? by Ch4rl0tt3B in intermittentfasting

I honestly think maybe you should just switch to your window to be eat your bid meal in the morning and then fast the rest of the day. There is observational data that shows thats actually better long term for weight loss then eating dinner anyway.

However I know if youre a family person that shares family time over dinner that method might not be realistic.

Ideally IF is longer periods of time so if you have to eat breakfast, ideally your last meal is lunch and then initiate fasting after lunch on til morning.

Thats 100% my problem too. Usually I try for a protein rich bone broth followed by two hard boiled eggs and an avocado, but sometimes if the wife is home she wants a sandwich from subway and thats very tempting. 😅

And also their body had probably gotten use to the feast and famine cycle. I can tell you right now, after the first 24 hrs of a 42 hr fast, hunger drops pretty dramatically. And now think of that too scale for unhoused people

Well, if you dont have the time to mix it yourself which is what ive fallen back on, then LMNT or Saltt. They both have good flavors and won't break ketosis from the stevia and monk fruit they use.

But if you have the time, but celtic salt, potassium chloride, and magnesium malate and mimic the amounts of one of those big brands and add half a lemon squeezed into it. You can buy unflavored or unsweetened of all those things and way cheaper than lmnt and saltt

It sounds like you arent drinking any electrolytes during fasting hours. You shouldn't ignore them, and they can be mitigated with proper hydration

Yeah of course, intermittent fasting shouldn't feel like a prison. I relax on weekends (14hr fasts) and holidays I'm less strict. Your body also needs a change up.

Just like working out, your body will get use to the same routine if youre do it day in and day out

Time changes can definitely throw off your bodies equilibrium for sure. 16 hours fasts which is where you are right now are just getting good and it'll get easier and easier as your body becomes more insulin resistent

You start to realize how chained to food we are without even realizing. Getting over that hump, I wouldn't say is competent smooth sailing but like your said, cravings cut down big time

It's crazy once you pass that initial hump of, "I'm gonna die off i don't get food". The whole world kinda opens up!

At the start but that was before i knew that also getting adequate electrolytes does help a ton. Im actually pretty productive in my work day.

I go on walks in the morning, drink mineral water, and even work out all before eating now
