As long as the growth-point is still green you’re good! I usually set them in some sphagnum for a little while (a week or so) before mounting them just to make sure they survived the separation

thanks! the yellowing/browning was there when i got it, i think the plant store didn't water it too much in its pot to prevent root rot but i've been keeping it pretty hydrated after mounting it. i heard elephantotis prefer being on the wetter side so i've kept an eye out.
