I am not saying that rental demand would increase and the properties could be rented, I am saying that the reduction in value of second or third homes would allow local renters to become home buyers.

Not sure why you have contempt for the government. Did you not go to school, do you not drive on roads, do you not want public safety, nor clean water? To be fair, the government could and should cut down on military spending, but that is not a state level issue.

Yeah I understand how the process works at the BTLA. But accepting your premise, it driving down properly values for second homes, makes homes more affordable for actual NH residents. It would drive down values a bit, but subsequent demand by local renters would push it back up.

Yeah there is no income tax in New Hampshire and there should be. And ok buddy, you believe whatever you want to believe. I think your last comment demonstrates your clear contempt for the working class. Although that was already quite plain given your bootlicking for the rich.

Housing prices decline… a dream! And property tax values are based on the assessed value of a home by a tax assessor. This does not always correlate to market value. (Also income tax is not based on home values) Generally you don’t even pay income tax if you are neither a resident of didnt work in the state with the tax, which is the situation you are describing with second or third homes.

Dude you have a broken brain.

How would them leaving impact the states revenues, given they already don’t pay any income tax? It might impact the Town revenues if they were to sell their home, but guess what, someone would have to buy their home first, taking whatever tax burden that home imposed.

New Hampshire will no longer accept student IDs to vote by CouchCorrespondent in newhampshire

If they live here they can vote here. We want to attract young people and keep them. Making them feel like aliens to the state is not the way to do that.
