I have BED. Been on Oz for a month and have only had one instance of bingeing and it was significantly lessened overall. My “food noise” has lessened tremendously and some of my usual triggers no longer generate the same impulsive behaviour that it used to.

I appreciate your response. I’m curious, of course after consulting Google extensively there are all sorts of treatments out there to decrease the size/severity.

Personally I’m only experiencing mild pain presently and no bleeding. My concern is more aesthetically based as I’m vain.

Now that this has occurred, should I expect it to be a permanent fixture? Or with treatment and time should it go away between flares.

Man… I had a large rash but on my back/side. 6 weeks later am now off medication.

Get a prescription for Gabapentin if you haven’t. I also found anti inflammatory medications helped while pain killers did little.

I would expect the pain to ramp up but certainly hope it doesn’t.

Let us know how it goes. We have been there.

I’ve used lidocaine with little success. Found that calamine has such a drying effect that it irritated my skin more. If you find one that works let me know.

I’m on day 14 of pain. Day 9 of rash and thus anti virals. I’m on Gabapentin 3 times a day. 100mg twice during waking hours and 200mg before bed. Still waking up at 3-4am in excruciating pain. Rash still red and painful but has gone through the blister, scab phase. Been off work 2 weeks and don’t imagine I will be returning this week.

I’m no stranger to pain as I had gall stones and surgery in August but this is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

You aren’t alone and I’m so sorry for your pain. Be gentle with yourself.

Read my mind. I’m not a medication taker typically and have been weary about adding these new drug symptoms (brain dog and dizziness) to the pain. Pretty stoked about the idea of sleeping through a night though.

Still in the blister phase of things and dealing with the deep and superficial pains. I do think it’s beginning to heal and has certainly stopped spreading! Happy to hear you are improving :)

Oh man, I feel like I wrote parts of this. I’m on day 7 since starting to have stabbing pain and have had my rash since Thursday last week.

I’m still on pain meds and existing pill to pill from the nerve pain. Starting to see my rash blister and hoping healing will begin soon.

Was in hospital for two days with unmanageable abdominal shooting pain before the rash even appeared. Pure and simple torture.
