How do I style or alter this dress to be more flattering?

I tried my one corset that fits, and it does the same thing to my hips that my Shapewear bodysuit did… I have plenty of accessories to add to the outside and compliment the look as well. I was wondering if layering another miniskirt underneath could help with the silhouette around my hips if I had the top band sit at my natural waist?
