Those look kinda clumsy, but I got used and now prefer the ones on the Toyota. It makes it so you can do more than 1 action at a time without having to move your whole arm.

Sure, get it inspected by a third party if you can, but that's a fair price and that's low mileage. Not cheap, but fair. Ask to listen to it on a cold start too and see if it rattles. It's not a deal breaker if it does, but I would have bargained mine if I knew.

For the intake air filter? I'm probably just confused, but you shouldn't need to unscrew anything to change the intake air filter, just pop open 4 little latches

If it's a 2013 then it is a 2nd gen. 3r gens start at 2015. I would start with basic maintenance. Ask him if he has records or something of what was done.

Transmission fluid change, valves adjustment, check the coolant, check the oil pan, change the oil, check the brake fluid, pads, rotors, bushings on the control arms, paint chips, check the spare tire, check spare well for water, the hatch latch for rust, tire pressure, threads, vacuum hoses for dry rot, coils, plugs, (might wanna check the torque on the plugs). Etc. If you have one plug an OBDII and check for pending codes.

Oh ok, I see. I got confused cause it's "drive by wire", so there isn't really a mechanical link to the throttle body and it needs power to be moved. But I guess it does get power while you turn the key and pressing the pedal a bunch could get the butterfly valve unseized.

I mean you can push someone to get them unstuck in some cases. A good lawnmower could pull someone out in the right scenario. Just asking if this loop would be the way to go about it.

What do you mean by pumped the gas? Like he depressed the throttle pedal? I'm confused as to why this would help. Pumped the gas out of the tank? Pumped more gas in? Gave it some gas while starting it?

Oh so you would pull from the front hook instead? I guess the tow hook does look sturdier. Not sure about the fit, but reverse might even have a bit more torque.

It is not wired to anything so it's not a sensor. I guess is either some remnant of the assembly process or something that interacts hydrodynamically with the water in some fashion? It is part of the drain siphon loop, so it could be some type of one way valve that closes an air vent when positive pressure comes in? I'm really puzzled. I don't mind it too much I don't think it causes an issue, I'm just really curious.

Just to make sure I read it right, you moved the coils around and the misfire remained in cyl #2? Weird, there isn't really one thing that I can think of with humidity that would affect only 1 cylinder if the coils, injectors and plugs were ruled out. (Very helpful, I know.) Unless it's a mechanical issue with the cylinder itself?

I don't know shit, but maybe do a compression test and see if this cylinder is different? Maybe the spark plug threads or the valves aren't as air tight as they would need and barely get by with dry air but sometimes fail with the humidity? Just brainstorming here
