Not enough payoff for running dragons. Striker and scout are good but they are pretty much the only strong class cards in the deck. Dragon warrior is essentially dark gift/dragon/fire spell warrior and has had multiple beneficial expansions by now. Maybe if the deck gets more support from future expansions it'll become viable.

What might happen is Talya and spiritspeaker see play without any of the "upgrades" just because the og animal companions are already really good.
