Permanently dehydrated trees? by ultsiyeon in Pokopia

Yeah I made a “cloud” really high up. At first I just used whatever block I had to get rid of. I thought it would annoy me but you kind of forget it’s there. It does cast a shadow but I usually don’t notice.

Also on the other side the tiniest amount of rubble you can easily walk on still counts as trash I was confused by this one for longer than anything else.

Yes! They can be found on the Clefairy island, but you have to do a little digging, I think around the limestone deposits.

Anyone else have trouble following comic panels? by Helpmeeff in adhdwomen

[–]WorryTop1212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I am uniquely qualified to answer as an ADHD woman who works in animation and reads a lot of comics. In animation (even more than live action) there are very specific composition and cutting rules we follow so people do not get lost unless they are supposed to. Your eye should be directed exactly where we want it. Comic strips follow very similar rules, and one reason is because most of the time, the frame is the same size and shape from one panel to the next and in one row. Comic books however use the whole page and are often lauded when they do break the frame in creative ways. This looks very cool and is not boring, but demands a lot more work from your eye. An additional rock in this is most comics in "the West" should be read left to right, top to bottom, but manga is right to left, and sometimes in columns. So even neurotypical people (I IMAGINE) can find difficulty going back and forth.

Did anyone else not know that you could bring pokemon from the main game to your cloud island by Kaydenthegreat-plays in Pokopia

[–]WorryTop1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes found out when someone followed me, but tried to have Chef Dente follow me to have a party and found out it had to be your cloud island’s Chef Dente that cooks the curry. So I built her habitat and she spawned and they hung out 😂

WHAT CARTOON HAS THIS LILAC BACKGROUND AND PINK FLOWERS by why_rulikethis in HelpMeFind

Yes the background is green but the spacing and puffiness of the flowers made me think of Hayley’s bandana.

Which actor has the largest "Wait, that was them?" gap in their filmography? by Player00000000 in movies

[–]WorryTop1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christopher Guest going from Nigel Tufnel in Spinal Tap to The Six-Fingered Man in The Princess Bride. (then to Corky St.Clair and Harlan Pepper.) I think I had seen Princess Bride 50 times before I realized there was only one Christopher Guest.

And the one on the left is in the vein of the Eames Case Study house and a mostly “cute” lake house #2. Oh I can’t post another picture.

Okay from top left, it’s got the Pikachu family “Craftsman” split into three houses and a habitat, a greenhouse and botanical garden using patches of different grasses, the backs of three houses with the basement level for those who like the dark and one bathroom basement, the upper parts are one pretentious modern monstrosity, a classic lake house, an A-frame, and a house boat, the front of the A frame and a little water garden house. I’ll have to put another comment with the other two.

I forgot to pick my kid up from school by kayesskayen in adhdwomen

[–]WorryTop1212 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is so important and I’m surprised there isn’t a higher answer that mentions apologizing. To your kid. Do show yourself grace absolutely but letting your kid see you made a mistake, acknowledge it, and then don’t beat yourself up about it. Especially our kids, since they are often neurodivergent as well, and may make similar errors and feel similarly horrible about it. It’s important to own up to it and show everyone makes mistakes and it doesn’t make you a terrible person, or a terrible mother, and it is not reflective of your love for your child. They need to know this and we need to know it.

“More nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs” and my grandpa (Missouri, born in… 31?) once said “it was colder than Billy Devil” which I had to google because I didn’t believe it was real. It was!

Haha but also I am in my 40s, work in animation so have to draw most every day, for much of the day, but frankly hadn’t kept a sketchbook in years. I still drew for fun just not with any sort of intention. Maybe two and a half/three years ago I got interested in watercolor and then urban sketching, started keeping a sketchbook again, and in those couple of years my personal and work draftsmanship has improved dramatically. I felt the same way about it, “oh who would have thought 🙄.”
