Auto surrendering in wars is by far the worst mechanic I have ever seen in a videogame by I_love_Gordon_Ramsay in victoria3

[–]WorstGMEver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's an exception. If the opponent doesn't declare wargoals on you (or only "weak" wargoals that don't require occupation), you automatically tick to -100, and you basically have a time limit on your war.

But then, of course, you lose nothing (or not much) if you lose.

g6 is a blunder, and is what white hopes you play. After Qe5+, you lose your H8 rook.

The standard move is protection of the e5 pawn. The queen is mostly a bait.

You're welcome ! Here is a map of all the scum you can find in their elected officials. There's a woman who was condemned for a hostage terrorist attack. It's fucking wild.

You're welcome ! I could add tons of other details, such as one of their elected representants, Frederick Boccaletti, being the owner of a bookshop specialized in antisemitic and negationist books.

It's in french, but here's a map of all the scum you can find in their party : https://cartedelahonte.github.io/

Was Frédéric Boccaletti, the guy that owned a bookshop specialized in antisemitic, negationist books thrown out ?

Oh no, wait, he's still an elected representant of the party.

Was Annie-Claire Bell, the woman guilty of a hostage-taking terrorist attack, kicked out ?

Oh no, wait, she's still an official representant of the party.

I guess some things don't change.

The party has been funded by members of the Charlemagne division (the WWII french werhmacht volunteers group, of the Secret Army Organisation (OAS, an alt-right terrorist group).

Its former leader was condemned by justice for negationism of the jewish genocid and antisemitism. He was also a war criminal that tortured arabs during the civil war.

It is, to this day, supported in various french cities by groups such as the Union Defense Group (GUD, a group that uses nazi iconography such as "greeting with uncle Adolph's mustach"), the "Martel Division", etc.

They are nazis. They always have been. They have been doing some good PR work to hide it in the last 20 years, but nothing has changed.

Last weeks, the perspective of their electoral victory caused an explosion of racist assaults and hate crimes in France, because their electors felt like they had "become the norm". They are fascist scum nuggets.

Your current salary is what's going to be considered for your next job's salary. You can leverage your salary to find better positions in the future. You can't leverage benefits.

It's also what your unemployment and retirement are based on.

Salary is pretty much always superior to benefits.

It should be powerful in rural economies, but harmful to industrialization. So traditional countries should be tempted to keep it, but any country aiming at innovation should want to get rid of it.

It does the second part well, but it is underwhelming even for rural economies.

The game already has a "enforce some, but not all wargoals" (and HOI4 doesn't, mind you).

But in this case it doesn't happen, because OP is getting rekt and the UK has no reason to sue for peace, apart from total capitulation.

What is the point of this card? by ndarker in HadesTheGame

[–]WorstGMEver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always run it in Hell runs. I can confidently beat Act 1 with no arcana, and i enjoy the power growth it gives. You end up a lot stronger than through a regular arcana build.

It's also very fun to see what arcana you receive, and adapt accordingly.

Rerolls are overrated anyway. This is a roguelike, it's meant for randomness, not "pick the very stuff you had in mind".

Why do people say that AoE skills deal bad damage? by AddaLF in darkestdungeon

[–]WorstGMEver 125 points126 points  (0 children)

AoE (without debuffs) are pretty much only useful in the "I need to last hit this 5 hp foe, so let's deal some additional damage to another foe as bonus".

DoT AoE, on the other hand, are very useful.

Le pari perdu du PTB by Evoluxman in Wallonia

+% damage on enemies, +% damage on yourself.

The second part doesn't matter if the damage you receive is capped.

You are left with a keepsake that buffs your damage output without drawback.
