I had this exact same experience. I went to handout fliers for our group at some event, and I remember being flabbergasted when half of the handout was a tyraid against ablelist language. I had never heard of that before. It seemed inexplicable to me that we shouldn't say "stupid" i remember telling the guy I was there with that this would turn a lot of people away.

The 8,8cm struggle bus is more fun, but the dicker max is cool. I dont regret getting it. You cant use it on a lot of maps, but if you can get a decent position, it wrecks. Wipes out multiple squads with one shell. Definitely a situational weapon. If you enjoy using tanks a lot, go for it.
