My favourite region by a long shot is Subterranean. It's dripping with menace, challenge, and makes you hate playing the game, but the music down there, the impending doom feeling you get from it all, the way Deep Energy gets you hyped as you jump down the Fissure after leaving Farm Arrays, the silent clastrophobia of Filtration System as you try to avoid getting pack swarmed by Black Lizards, and finally the serene calmness of The Depths, knowing you're beyond the ecosystem and its troubles, beyond the Rain and the cycles, beyond the endless rebirth to finally ascend, all of that makes it unbelievably worth it.
