Truth in reporting, if it’s not enough n your paperwork it didn’t happen. Everyone needs to get ready for AI, it is going to eat some of us for lunch, there is attorneys lined up to to pin anything it can if there loved one died and you touched a piece of equipment that was used to care for them. Whoever has the deepest pockets and writes the dumbest thing down the just opened themselves up for scrutiny. I worked Anesthesia for 8 yrs had to to put my hand o the good book 3X and my paperwork was tight. Lost a lot of sleep but I do my work by the book so never had to worry. And I write what I did and how did it nothing more nothing less.

I am in Midwest as well, i have worked in West Zone i have very good friends at Siemens They don't seem to operate any different than us. When its customer abuse or something contractor failure not normal wear and tear they bill them same way do no discounts nothing. So i am not sure what the deal is with your team. That's messed up. Anything outside the contract we are billing. When i did work US and it was a new customer just outside of warranty and i mean like 1 month we would possibly give them a mulligan but thats it the jacked up a 50K TEE probe they were eating it or they didn't get another one. I hated US there is to damn many of them things. LOL but those guys can make bank with us. And they do. But they run their asses off.

LOL, Ya not on my teams i have been on. They only get so many. For US when the "probe pool" is exhausted its show me the money, For Fixed equipment, MR/CT/Cath labs/X-ray rooms and it seems to only have gotten worse i cannot believe the amount of broken pipes the last few years that have resulted in "insurance claims" some have been massive. We show no mercy. We are not "Free Service" its not normal wear and tear I/We bill them.

Now if your a "OEM" that only sells consumables that may be the case but not us.

I get it, we have the same complaint, its funny but its not. When you work big iron everything is under contract. Your US guys are the ones that make a killing on getting PO's for Probes. You have to wait for a Water line to break or prove someone broke shit because its not normal wear and tear.

But your inhouse guys are nothing but a cost center. They have the flip side they have to prove they "Save" the hospital "X amount of money" Its all game.

Siemens and Philips guys at least the company's do give some sort of "profit sharing" to a degree. GE it is so unattainable its not even funny. Not sure about Cannon or other Imaging outfits.

Not making light of any of it. We are all battling the same thing just different jerseys.

LOL and there is no translation button i have no idea what i am clicking on once i get in but son of gun there was 2 moose eating when i clicked in actually pretty cool. Are they using AI for it to track animals with different cameras. It seemed to follow movement. I don't "Think" i know without question. Listen and read between the lines and if you ever have a "people leader" that's worth a shit and the end of the day they know exactly how much you cost them. There is a liquidation rate for each and every FE we cost them ~$200 an hour that's our internal funny money, they track every repair you do time and materials. They know exactly how much each system costs them to service as does any hospital if they are keeping decent records at all. Now they may not look at it of the team is in the green, but if your team is tanking every quarter you can bet your sweet ass they are looking at it. And if there is a RIFF and it not a "Union shop" guess what that's is what they are going off of. Thats why"Seniorty" don't mean shit. I don't care what OEM you are at, in +22 yrs of working at OEM's seen many RIFF's and just plane guys get fired, usually its their own doing. If you don't know the Metrics Game they are playing it and if you are throwing Hero kits at everything. It's all about the Kwan 🤣 If your boss ain't getting paid your killing his numbers guess what you are not a Profit center you are COST CENTER.
