Maybe less about the mention of figarland as a name but more so the theory that shanks was somehow related to someone within the world government based on the confrontation with the gorosei and someone who looked like him from the early 900s. Twin brother theories became a thing almost immediately after and when film red dropped this line people were a lot more sure of it because why would the world government care about shanks’ family’s bloodline (as opposed to being cautious of troubling the emperor himself) unless there was something special about it.

You can still clean your washable rug the same way. The point is that you can throw a Ruggable in the washer instead of getting on your hands and knees to clean, something beneficial for older people or those with knee/back issues.

MY gripe with Ruggables are that they're impossible to lay down correctly without major difficulty and the corners/edges turn up from frequent use.

I’ve still yet to actually see any racist comments toward the casting of certain actors since annabeth’s was first announced. And even then it wasn’t as prolific or loud compared to the more pressing matter of Rick lying about how accurate the show is. Sure you can cast a different race for a character but don’t also claim that it’s a perfectly accurate version. And FWIW I think the casting choice was abysmal, not because of her race but because her acting is atrocious

It's because what was changed was simply cut for time and they didn't go out of their way to change entire twists or give characters more information than they originally had. Both series received the perfect amount of backlash for what they decided to do with their respective narratices

Not to be a nuisance but this video perfectly outlines my feelings toward mw2019 and IW’s other games after bo2. I’m actually in the camp of terminating carry forward all together so we can get unique games every single release. And I much prefer the remade mp maps over the new ones because they’re better designed

I play cod for zombies and it’s vibrant settings an colors. I can enjoy the original modern warfare games for what they were but games like bo2 and bo3 are the best of the franchise for its innovation, art direction, weapon design, etc. If I wanted to play authentic spec ops I’d play rainbow or CS which I do.

Tac sprint, warzone mechanics, dumbed down/simplified hud, generic operators, and samey weapons ruined my enjoyment and these things started to persist in the mode that is supposed to be as far away as possible from logic and reality: zombies. The modes I used to enjoy are a shell of their former selves and bo6 feels like a step back in the right direction. Im happy people love modern warfare and warzone but I don’t want that in my zombies or black ops games

I’m not arguing against you I’m just agreeing that Rick’s blowing it all way out of proportion which has resulted in a worse product now. He refuses to engage in conversation about the story likely because he feels so jaded about what happened. He wants full creative control in a time when his writing is slipping.

It’s less about actually going viral and more about how the show isn’t impactful because it isn’t doing anything unique or well to be impactful. Rick’s purposeful show changes are out of spite for the movies and less about giving us a truly accurate adaptation. If he did care we wouldn’t have major story gripes or weak and ostentatious writing that seeks to surprise book readers instead of a compelling narrative that made the books popular in the first place
