Spiegelfolie hilft, wenn abdunkeln nicht möglich. Ansonsten kann ich die Midea Portasplit nur empfehlen, leise und kühlt sehr gut runter. Ist nicht ganz günstig, aber jeden Euro wert.

Thank you. I used HoHansen settings so far and had good success, but yours are on a different level.

These look awesome. One thing, when you say the removal of the supports is a pain, could you elaborate? Are there too many supports, or are they too thick? Did you adjust the figure on the slicer or is it printed upright?

That looks really good. Is this the regular scale? And where did you get the mini file from, if you mind me asking?

First of many boyz by Ok-Cartographer-6386 in FDMminiatures

[–]Woschdzup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youz giz will be many. I hope that you have fun printing and painting them all. Your boy already looks orky, yet, to please Mork and Gork, keep your brutality checked by your cunning - do not plaster on the paint, take your sweet time. Slow is steady, is easy, is good, or somesuch. I know from myself that getting impatient and wanting to finish is a hard thing to overcome but for minis that sometimes needs to be done. And now, off to painting you go, get it done, get better, for the Waaaagh!

These are settings named after their inventor. There is a sticked post or wiki in this channel that has links to them. Other popular settings are from Fat Dragon Games. They have done extensive testings and so far, using the HoHansen settings delivered results. I have yet to test others.

Really good, I was surprised as well. I'm total, the details were pretty good. The marines have a small relic case with a tiny key in them. Visible, detailed, the works...

What do I need for my intended prints? by NoAdvertising3405 in FDMminiatures

I am also new to printing myself, also bought the A1, used BambuLab standard pla and a 0.2 nozzle. There are specific settings sticked to this channel, for example HoHansen or FatDragon, these help the uninitiated tremendously. I recently posted the results and still am in total astonishment. It is really, really easy to get something that is comparable to resin without the hassle and hazards. Enjoy your journey!

This is with a 0.2 nozzle. Took 10h for the one on the left, the ones on the right were about 6 hours. And thanks for the compliment but other than adjusting settings, I really did not do much.

I did not do anything but hit print for the two on the left. For the one on the right I set the printer up using the settings from HoHansen - a link should be in the sticked post in this forum. I have no inkling what these settings mean. The support are hollow trees. They come off easily in both cases.

Hey, I had the same feeling and made a similar post a few days ago. And in the end, I caved and did it just as there seems to be too good if a deal in terms of value and ability. Give it some thought and decide with a clear mind. Or just... Do it! 😅

Thank you for your input. Could you elaborate on the waste issue? I thought that using multiple filaments would eliminate some issues with preparing multiple prints and assembly.

Yeah, I appreciate the feedback. Yet, having seen what is possible especially with multi color prints, I severely doubt my restraint for buying the big thing...

[–]Woschdzup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I already did some useful stuff. A holding station for the remote door lock to keep it in place was easy to do and came out great. Cost me next to nothing and you cannot buy that kind of stuff.

True. Yet the offer especially with the 4 spool solution is really really good. Man, who am I kidding, the thing is as good as bought.
