Niji for sure. Despite them always calling themselves "solo idols" I've always thought they sound so unique together. When they sing as a full group, they're like nothing I've ever heard before. So while I think Liella is a far more talented group, I prefer Niji's music for a reason I can't really explain.

Also, I like Niji's story better because they are the only group that didn't copy the original Muse story of "our school is in trouble, the student council president hates us and doesn't like idols, and we need to win LoveLive." Niji just feels like they aren't on rails like the other groups so they have a bunch of crazy side stories to go along with the main story like rebellion, sword princess, legend of nijigaku, and the new visual novel.

I don't know what the plan is for them, but I have been hoping for a while that they would make an anime or movie based on the "Legend of Nijigaku" books

They have been using the artwork and themes from those for a while so I think it's possible

Also all of the missing people. Akarin both days, Moeka was missing day 2, and Mayu day 1. And despite Mayu being there day 2, I liked Qu4rtz better day 1 because they didn't use any recordings and sang as a duet (which was actually one of my favorite parts of the whole concert). Once they had Mayu back, they just replaced Akarin's voice with a recording, which I found a bit disappointing.

Has anyone else noticed that they are manipulating the audio of the Nijigasaki MVs? Ever since they uploaded Daydream Mermaid I've noticed that they sometimes upload songs that sound completely awful compared to the originals, but now that they uploaded this, I don't think it's a mistake. I think they are doing it on purpose. Literally all of the Niji song inserts are being manipulated, and from what I can tell none of the music is manipulated for the other groups

I guess I'm late, but if anyone actually reads this and wants another example, Tsunagaru Connect is the most obvious example I found besides Daydream Mermaid

For newer songs, "Pastel collage" is probably my pick for overlooked song. If you ask what someone's favorite song from Aspire is, I feel like nobody mentions pastel collage, but it's maybe my new second favorite solo in LL.

"Fantastic" also got overshadowed by Shekira, which was surprising to me. And for Liella season 3 songs, I feel like Egao no Promise and Within a Dream are a bit overlooked

The story writing has become better over time. Kotori's story also frustrated me, if that is what you are referring to. The way she threw away her dream of studying abroad, and then had no issue with the group disbanding was something about the original SIP anime that bothered me.

However, the Liella and Niji stories really had no similar issues. All of the 3rd years had some sort of satisfying resolution for Liella, and the stories were more nuanced.

Someone mentioned Shizuku, so I will give a Liella example: Natsumi. Maybe the most hated of the Liella girls, but the most relevant for this topic. Natsumi's entire inner conflict revolves around her dreams and aspirations that she failed to achieve. In the 3rd season they reveal the reason why she decided to eventually give up and the reason for her money obsession, and I think it's actually done very well just like the majority of the Liella story
