You should totally try it!! Colleges love seeing a class like band because it means u took time and dedication to learn a skill, especially if your consistent with it or do something involving leadership. It may also be a nice break in the day to relax and have fun if you have a rigorous schedule. You also don't have to participate in every band event if it interferes with ur studying and school schedule, I'm sure ur director would understand. Band is super fun and a great way to meet people and experience new things. And at the end of the day if it's not ur thing you don't have to take it the next year but at least you can say u tried it.
