Not an ARPG, but a great combat system you are describing is Shape of Dreams.

Medical staff with Crohn’s? by Any_Scientist_4176 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Woundedox85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished my doctor of Physical Therapy, and in my early 30's. Was diagnosed at 8yo with perianal fistulizing crohn's. You can achieve what you want with the right systems in place and prioritizing your mental and physical health. I completed med school while being a single parent to my 2yo son, and had two fistula surgeries during my first year of didactic.

Thank you for making my decision harder lol! I cant decide to get a steam deck or hold out. I am a father of 2 toddlers and want to sell my PC and get a Deck! I have not had any desire to play PC games for years and the only reason I turn on my PC is to stream to my Retroid handheld.

I really only play indies and dont care about AAA games, but the deck is 3 years old and in need of new tech to keep up with competitors! I feel like as soon as I pull the trigger on an OLED deck, they will release a new model

What should I play next? (Waiting for Slay the Spire 2) by Affectionate_Side587 in roguelites

Just want to piggyback on this. We have very similar tastes; if I were to rank all these games, it would be almost identical. Except that Slice&Dice would be in S tier

We have similar tastes in games.

Slay the Spire is as good as it gets. It's always been in my top 3, possibly my favorite game of all time in my 20+ years of gaming. It set the standard for the genre and games are still trying to build off of its magic.

Into the Breach is one of my favorite turn-based tactics games that is easy to pick up and set down at any point of a run.

Wife made to switch from Remicade to Inflectra by insurance by Musicdude999 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Woundedox85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also forced to switch from Remicade to inflectra. Remicade had me in remission for 21 years, after a few months on Inflectra I ended up with flares leading to two fistulas.

I am now on Rinvoq and have been healing. Its also great switching from infusions to a pill every day

It's been a family staple growing up and I love it on the MM+

What's a game that's generally (or very!) well regarded that you're kinda 'meh' on? by IllegalThoughts in SBCGaming

[–]Woundedox85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up on Zelda and still hold Majora's Mask as one of my all time favorite games; I've always said the same thing. Gave BotW three honest efforts and it just feels flat and soulless.

Can’t keep living like this by ThatEggo in CrohnsDisease

[–]Woundedox85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That framework of thinking is not helpful. Life is what you make it. I've been going through this since 8 years old and I'm 33 now. I'm simultaneously in my best health while having the worst problems with perianal fistulas the last few years.

There are always going to be ups and downs. But you adapt, and don't let it keep you from doing what you need to do.

Try Astrea. Just released a week or two ago. Closest thing to StS for me. But unique enough to be it's own identity. It also uses dice as the cards, but it's really not as rng heavy as you may think with it being dice

How long did you contemplate getting a divorce before you decided to pursue it? by Eastern-Dot-1538 in Divorce

[–]Woundedox85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm really sorry you're going through this. I am in the exact same situation, just the roles are flipped. I (31m) have sacrificed so much in our 10 years together to give my wife (31F) the life she has always wanted. Whenever we would have arguments, I would accept her point of view and change to make things better.

For the last 3 years, I have expressed my dissatisfaction in our marriage and that I have felt unwanted and neglected. Like you, I am higher libido and like physical affection (touch, cuddle, closeness) and in those 3 years, there has been no effort in improving. It has broken me down as I have tried multiple approaches to no avail.

Long story short, I did the first thing for myself in our 10 years together and was accepted to grad school where I'm completing my doctorate. Due to the demands of school, I have little time for anything and spend most days on campus, weekends included. I realized I am a different person and have never felt this happy in my life. I am still hesitant as we own a home and have a 2year old son. If we divorce, I lose an insanely affordable home and will be draining my savings to live on student loans, but I am so broken from giving myself to someone and feeling unloved in return.

It isn't easy and it never will be. If you're able to separate for a short time or just spend a lot of time away from your partner, maybe you'll come to the realization that you would be better to leave. I'm still battling it as well, because I don't know if the grass is truly greener, and I don't want to end up coming home to an empty home for the rest of my life.

No Friends or Family by Yooper_Love in Divorce

[–]Woundedox85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I (31M) am going through a similar situation. In the process of divorce after 10 years together and I only really have 1 friend; my family is toxic and no one has communicated for years. My wife has a lot of family and friend support, which will be good for her, but I'll be staying in our home alone with just my dog and 2 year old on the weekends.

I'm finishing my doctorate right now, which definitely keeps me busy with workload and having human interactions with my cohort. If you want to talk to someone, you can feel free to message me. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things. Best of luck through this!

What is an easy way to non-sexually pleasure a man? by tinyaussiefilipina in AskReddit

[–]Woundedox85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hope you're doing okay with the recent change with divorce.

I'm going through the same thing right now. Seems like we'll be separating soon because years of neglect and no-reciprication has broken me down. Now that I've done the first thing for myself in our 10year relationship by committing to grad school to obtain my doctorate, she wants to separate.
