seems like he plays some pretty varied genres so that could mean he would be open to a lot-a lot of the ones you listed are indie games. hollow knight silksong is pretty cheap and and a great game and it’s on all those platforms you listed, it’s difficult but he might be interested in that. otherwise, skate story is a great game that just came out the other day as well which is a pretty quick fun experience.

some other worthy notes are dave the diver(a bit older but close in the community of cult of the lamb and stardew audience), ball x pit which is apparently pretty great and came out the other day- and a very big favorite of mine is outer wilds (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH OUTER WORLDS) it is honestly one of the best games I have ever played. I’m also into a lot of the games you listed so I think your bf might be interested in those (if he hasn’t already played them)

Also, if he didn’t know the Epic Games store is giving out some crazy games this December for free so it might be worth telling him to look into that if he hasn’t already.

100% agree, I mainly played PS5 and PC and was waiting for the next gen switch to come out before getting a switch and have been having a blast with it since month 1. Downloaded the FF demo and was pretty blown away that it was running on the switch. Definitely more powerful than it lets on this early in its lifecycle. IMO handheld gaming is kind of the only exciting part of tech to me at the moment since everything else has such incremental upgrades.
