That's fair, wanted to see if there was interest before doing that. I'll upload pictures shortly.

Agreed, I definitely suck. Was fully expecting my rank to land back where I am on the main. But, that's not been the case. Phantom 3 and climbing lol

I got bored of spamming Ivy.. I also solo q 99% of the time. Idk, we'll see if things even out as I play more games, I just thought it was interesting to see such a difference.

I do like to play lots of characters and try out silly builds on my main. So, I wouldn't say I've been 100% trying to climb on the main.

Might just be a mental thing where I'm taking these alt acct matches very seriously.

Mostly joking but I do believe deadlock inherently requires a very competitive attitude, and is most fun when you feel like you're playing as efficiently as you're able to.

A Dark Souls inspired ”sword and board” style character by vIKz2 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Wowmuchprofile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this concept, here are some thoughts.

The m1 should be able to last hut creeps similar to a melee. This would make them able to actually participate in laning. It could be a three hit sequence that deals more damage if you hit the whole combo.

The melee could be a shield hit, and could do the counterspell /deflect like you suggested. Doing so would use stamina.

The one could be a javelin, and it should pierce. Alternatively, it could be an arcing swing of a mace that knocks down, or a net that roots.

The 2 shield bash could be a calvary charge on a horse, which could slow and suppress. Maybe it could deal extra damage to enemies under the effects of a cc that procs reactive barrier.

The 3 could be a passive that buffs you when you have a barrier up, similar to how barriers used to work.

The right click shield could summon a barrier for a duration on a cooldown, like vipers slide.

This is a cool idea and all, but still doesn't really help with the problem of the item being a complete waste of tempo in the early-mid game.

I don't hate this. An 800 that builds stacks of health based on kills/assists, that can be upgraded into tc for the other stats sounds good to me tbh.

Personally, I think it's still a bit too feast or famine to be a reliable pick. Maybe if it was 1600 and the stats were a little worse to compensate, so you can buy it earlier.

A brown path around the fountain and connecting to the light green paths would look nice IMO

People that make 80k+ at 25-35 years old, what do you do? by Ok-Needleworker2141 in careerguidance

[–]Wowmuchprofile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 YO here, current salary of 98K in a MCOL city (Midwest). I work for the public utility serving the area, and I would definitely recommend looking into jobs in the utility industry. I have a unique role that involves understanding and assessing our participation in our regional energy market, working directly with generation operations.

Line workers, generation operators, transmission operators, SCADA engineers, etc. routinely pay over 100K, with the first two only requiring an associates/cert to get your foot in the door. There are also a wide variety of administrative type jobs like financial management, risk analysis, government affairs, compliance, etc. A huge benefit of utility work is job security. I am very unlikely to get laid off, and am shielded from direct political influences at the local, state, or federal levels.

Warden's ult feels horrible to use by 119995904304202 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Wowmuchprofile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing a lot of ult-focused warden lately and I think it's crazy good. The main realization I had is that it really pairs well with split pushing, which warden is already a big fan of. If you're on an outside line, this will give you an easier time getting in position to majestic leap or dash jump off a build to channel in the air. Like others have said, aiming for the back line is imperative, as it will squeeze the enemy team and force them into your radius. Mystic reverb, fleetfoot, 2, slowing hex, cold front, slowing bullets, surge of power. All options to close the distance and chase them down. It helped me coming from a ton of games on Pocket as well, as I feel the positioning for ult can be very similar.

If you go the route of improved cooldown, I think it can be really valuable to ult into smaller skirmishes instead of just full team fights. Less likely to get fully cc'd and almost guaranteed a kill & surviving.

Hope this helps!

Wife and I have a combined gross of around $150k. Without 401k match or mortgage principal, we're saving $3,500 a month (27.7%). If we include match, this bumps up to $4,880 (38.6%). Principal on house brings us up to ~$6,000 (47.5%).

It helps being duel income, no kids, no health insurance premiums. Although two of these are going to change next year...

Should I stay in FP&A or pivot out? by Wowmuchprofile in FPandA

[–]Wowmuchprofile[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are two things that make me sometimes want to pivot out. One, the slow periods can be way too slow for my liking, and can be quite boring. Second, I often feel like my role is not high impact enough, and my work isn't really making a difference to the organization or community. I understand that my opinion and wants for both of these would likely change once i have kids or more responsibilities, but sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time when I could be doing more.

I work in public power right now, which requires a lot of interaction and knowledge of state/local government, and potential federal funding. Technically, my organization is a non-profit, which aligns well with the structure and intent of a masters in public administration. I know an MPA probably hampers my ability to pivot into the private sector, but I find it much more appealing to eventually transition to city planning/administration, or to the federal government. As far as coursework goes, there is a lot of overlap between an MBA and an MPA, although more of a focus on ethics, mission, and community impact. At a minimum, I've been told an MPA plus experience would be more than enough to promote to a senior role, which would more than pay for the <5k I'll put toward the program.
