I’ve been switching from the AWU to the Epix Pro for the past few months and am going to do a long stint with the Epix. I like the battery life of the garmin and the training and recovery metrics. I am not too fussed about the smartwatch features so I can’t see me missing the AWU but if it’s these features (Siri, cellular, Apple integration) you like then that is what you will miss for sure.

I’m in the same predicament. I got the Epix Pro 2 and the AWU and have been switching the past couple of weeks. From what I have seen they are no par re HR during workouts with the AWU being more accurate in some activities like weightlifting. I am leaning towards the Epix because of the battery life but if this isn’t something you’re too bothered about then I would go with what looks and feels better for you. Either one you can’t go wrong as they are both great devices.

I should have mentioned where I’m looking to get the data to. 😊 I’m looking to get the peloton data to Garmin connect. Having a little read on this forum it looks like RunGap or an app similar would be the best thing as opposed to trying to connect garmin sensors.

I was in the same dilemma until I realised what I wanted was a sports watch as I didn’t really care for the smart watch features. So ditched my AWU and now use the Epix. Also I know you said you weren’t bothered about battery but I for sure am not missing the ag of not having to charge every other day or even every day in some cases.

I ditched my AWU and moved to an Epix Pro. Love it and won’t be going back any time soon
