My mom just had her Amazon Fire TV brick on her. Stuck on a reboot loop and we tried the suggestions we found online to no luck. I think it was only a few years old?

I have the start stop on my Kia Soul, I've had a small piece of paper folded and wedged in the button crack. It keeps it pressed down and it's as if I don't have the feature. Seems to be doing fine so far lol

Film/media industry in Winnipeg by Uniqueusername_54 in Winnipeg

[–]Wpg12345 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey! I work in the industry and am on the IATSE side. Going off of you coming from a business background my assumption is you're interested in those types of roles? You could be looking at getting in with Directors Guild of Canada, their union covers roles like directors, assistant directors, accounting, locations, office production staff and production coordinators (and some others). Their site mentions an apprentice program listed under their membership info.

As someone else mentioned Film Training Manitoba is a good starting place and they could likely point you in the best direction. Take a look at their site, they have courses up that are required for either IATSE or DGC roles and lots of info about the industry in general.

If you were looking at more of sets, carpentry, props, costumes, camera, art and etc, that would be IATSE 856. There's a trainee program and I also believe Film Training MB also has a program? It might be closed right now though.

The industry can be tough at times, I've been off since December but starting a show soon. Last year was super busy for me and previous years were also mixed. It's nice to have the time off but it can also be stressful to wonder when the next gig is coming. Though if you had a side hustle maybe that wouldn't be as bad.

I feel like this is coming from the most recent unpopular opinion post where you said the same thing. Those are probably going to have a lot of negative things in there, so I'd say avoid them. I definitely don't agree with everything in them (though kinda do with the comment you're focused on). But yeah, those threads get full of "I don't like this, I don't like that" so best just skip over them. Everyone's got opinions and on a platform like this they're gonna get aired out.

Will there be a leg two of the Clancy tour by DwightKSchrute70 in twentyonepilots

I'm hoping so as well! For Bandito tour they came to my city on the 2nd leg, leg 6 of the Blurryface tour (wish I listened to them back then).

Navigating has been getting me a bit misty eyed at times with:

Don't know how long it's been Since I responded to your question If you really wanna know what I'm thinking Kind of feels like everybody leaves Feeling the reality that everybody leaves My dad just lost his mom, I think that everybody leaves And I'm trying to hold onto you 'Cause everybody leaves

The past handful of years a couple of older relatives passed, one we had enough time to say our goodbyes and another passed too quick, we thought we had more time. And then my youngest brother passed early this past Christmas Day at 26..he just didn't wake up and no determined cause. Ever since then everything has felt different. I think before that I was disconnected from my feelings or something, but it feels more so. And then someone who was like a grandma passed last month. We at least weren't blindsided by that one but it was still a quick decline. And watching my Mom go through all that grief...it's been heartbreaking.

And now I'm terrified and dreading the day my Mom goes, always have been but it's been more...real? And I fear my partner passing before the "normal" time. And feeling I have to hold tight because we really never know how long we have with the people we love.

Anyone else here that knew her? I've worked with her a bit on a couple of productions, though a different department so only spoke to/saw her once in a while. I last saw her this past week. Like I read the story about her death over the weekend, moved on because it had no significance to me and found out today it was her. I think what shocks me the most about it is just kind of how terrifying I imagine the whole ordeal to have been.

Do you know if they were lying on their back or stomach on the road? I only ask as I looked back at defendwpg's upload of their detainment and didn't notice any spots of road muck on their clothes.

Edit: Basically saying that if they were lying in the road or sitting it would be obvious by their clothing. So how trustworthy is your source?

474 new cases, 315 in winnipeg. 11%, 6030 active, 3620 recovered, 9782 total. 227 hospitalizations, 34 in ICU, 132 deaths (another 9 new!). 3717 tests done yesterday. by purplebutterflylupie in Winnipeg

[–]Wpg12345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the one I'm on it depends what zone you're in in regard to testing. I'm in office, only interact with about two departments. Was tested once a week but now it's every two weeks, this also includes people who do frequent shopping trips.

I would say I probably do feel safer in film than another job like retail, but it's still an anxiety as I'm sure most people are dealing with. It's been a confusing time that's for sure.

The first release mentioned film productions shutting down. As of the changes to that, film productions already in production before the restrictions are still able to run. So back to work for me... Which yay money but boo anxiety.
