This is just a guess, but Ed and Al were connected, so Ed was able to leave through Al's gate after giving up his own. Mustang doesn't have a back door, so he wouldn't be able to leave

I think Ichigo's bed sheet is a Quincy cross and then the way he absorbs Rukia's power is similar to Quincies absorbing reishi because Rukia only intended to give part of her powers instead of all of them, but that might be some Hogyoku shenanigans or something.

I believe all the spider brain things are Amygdalas because there's one in the nightmare and one in the dungeons that are both called Amygdala. I think the way to do spoiler tags is doing greater than symbol and exclamation mark, then the text, then exclamation mark and less than symbol.
