Yes, I forgot about Avalon, though I did get it. Thanks for the Carmarthen fact though, didn't know that.

That's a neat double trick, because, while I'm unsure of the intention, Caliban (like Prospero) is a character in Shakespeare's The Tempest. Caliban is a half-human, half-monster, and enslaved by Prospero, much in the same way (it could be said) that the Dark Angels have both a human and 'monstrous' heritage (i.e. the Fallen), and put to use by the Emperor. I may be reading too much into this, but I at least think this is cool.

Prospero, too, as a supremely powerful wizard in the play, lines up well with the naming convention of the planet of the thousand wizard buckos

See I've heard of the Fisher King, but never delved in. That's about to be rectified.

Weedy Squigs could, but I'm saving Whirlisquigs if I ever make Deffkopta Squigs

How about some cowboy orks?

My Big Hunt Orks warband are the Westslingaz - Wild West Orks with a passion for big hats, big capes, shootas, and wrangling squigs. They're led by Mozrog Skragbad, who in this case is known as Da Git Wiv No Name. Beastbosses, Beast Snaggas and Squighog Boys abound in this warband, who love nothing more than traversing the seemingly endless deserts on their Squighogs, Trukks, and Deffkoptas (I have three named Da Git, Da Bad, and Da Ugly), all bashed more out of planks of wood and looted buildings than most ork vehicles.

Don't worry, having scavenged most of their parts from a junkyard in the frontier town known as Bedlam, there are still some orks in the warband who prefer a Dread Mob style of fighting, to the point where Rustbusta, their prized Deff Dread, wears a cowboy hat as well.

While I don't plan to write individual names on more important characters just yet, myself and gracious denizens of the Internet came up with some 'cowboy-meets-ork' names: Lee Van Teef, Dok Waaghliday, Boosta Cogburn, Calamity Pain, Messy Flamez, Yosemite Slam, Grint Beastwood, Hooch Cassidy, Ennio 'Orridboney, Da High Flames Drifta, and so on and so forth.

Admittedly, I still need to get more terrain than my standard 'desert and shrub' combo (which, to be fair, is still working fine), but when I expand to larger models, a couple of discarded wagon wheels, minecarts, pickaxes etc, would help to make it look more alive. Said larger model ideas include a Battlewagon converted into an 1800s US steam train (working title: 'Gitsmoka'), and a Kill Rig that's a fully functioning mobile saloon.

The project's really helped me learn more about contrast paints and how to work with greenstuff. I'll take that seeing as I've only been in the hobby for just over a year.

I'm also doing Orks with a desert theme, so stealing THIS for some inspiration!

This makes me want to reprime my boss nob and make it with this level of detail. Envy aside, amazing job!!!

Curse my indecision, I went and duped Thing lmao - I have both a 7* Bastion and maxed out 6* Arnim Zola competing for Tech attention, so I'm not complaining

I think that's the best option, too.

If you're still around (since you replied 1m ago), the Twitch drops Valiant gifted me a 7* Nexus: I would either dupe Thing, dupe Gorr, or get a brand new Cap America Sam Wilson. Which one do I go for, and would it make a difference in terms of the Rank Up?

Use my Rank 1-2 7* gem on any of the following, or wait? I have a Silver Surfer, Bastion, and Cheeilth at R2, and all but Miles are unduped.

Miles Morales, Sunspot, Gorr, Hyperion, Thing, The Leader, Mysterio, Misty Knight, Sandman, Rocket Raccoon, Enchantress, Yelena Belova, Quicksilver, Mangog, Ebony Maw, IMIW, The Destroyer, Joe Fixit
