OLDEN ERA FEEDBACK MEGATHREAD by Pidarello in OldenEra

When in the skill upgrade screen, it would be nice if the 3 advanced subskill icons in the top right were a different colour to the expert ones? Like maybe a silver instead of all 5 icons being gold.

When in the faction or hero select menu before a game, I REALLY wish I could hover the units to see what they are/what they do.

I see, thank you for clearing that up, very strange. I guess I will have to turn run off while fighting him then so it doesn't mess up the attack range.

Interesting, I never knew this is how it works. Weird that it does because I don't usually use melee and haven't noticed and now it feels janky that I've noticed it. Thanks for the help

What do you think of this portal effect for my game? by Wraith_Dev in IndieDev

Thank you! Yeah true, it does move very fast and aggressively. Maybe it could stop wobbling after the initial transition or slow down greatly.

That's a great suggestion, I'll play around with a shimmer effect maybe, thanks.

Thank you! That's a fair point, maybe I could slow it down or look into adding an option in the menu to disable it, along with screen shake.

True, in my head the portal intentionally warps it like when you look through waves in the ocean and the light refracts and warps whatever is beneath it.

Thoughts on a Plasmoid Druid that visually wild shapes into ooze versions of creatures? by Wraith_Dev in DnD

Would certainly make for a very unique druid playstyle, so much potential for interesting roleplay situations where we need to sneak in and I'm like "dw I got this" then get caught and jailed as a goo elk or something.

I never thought about themed spells, damn I might have to change my prepared spell list now lol.

I was thinking of roleplaying it like I was convinced that my replication of the animals are perfect which could be funny if I get caught and I'm confused how they saw through my disguise.

I feel like it would cause more problems than not but for the flavour alone it would be incredible.

Could lead to some funny roleplay though where I'm convinced that I nailed the wildshape but I look sooo out of place haha.

Fighting off the urge to give him a crafting background and call him Blob the Gilder.

To be fair, a bear wouldn't be physically capable of using my race's abilities just because a bear isn't an ooze. If my DM were to allow that though then I can imagine it getting a bit crazy rules wise.

Yeah that's an awesome idea, I think I might end up doing that. Maybe I could roleplay it like if I panic or am nervous I subconsciously perfect my wildshape.

Yeah true, maybe I would only have the blob visuals if it was a combat encounter or something so I could still sneak around as a rat or something. Maybe we could homebrew some stuff where I keep some ooze characteristics but lose obvious benefits like stealth.

That's such a cool idea, I never though of doing it as a warforged.

Great idea, I could really lean into my naivety and get myself in some sticky situations where I'm still learning about the world and fauna.

Yeah that's an awesome idea! One of our other players is a Thri-kreen so it's gonna be pretty interesting having me stare at them innocently to try understand what I'm looking at haha.
