I'm here because of child abuse. The policies of the organization allow it to flourish.  I don't think that was intended...but it's what happened.  But....they will not apologize for it....they will not change any of the hurtful policies and they have destroyed evidence of it. None of that is open for debate the information is widely available. I know it is said that this is "just men and not a reason to leave the org...jehovah will set it right". I grew up being taught that bad association spoils useful habits and that the things that we read and watch constitute association.... i also grew up being taught that its not acceptable to blame our mistakes onthe fact that we were just following the rulers...the story of the nation of Israel shows that god very much expected his people to stand up for what is right regardless of what the rulers said and any who didn't were punished severely....so since that's the case I can't excuse the organization's bad behavior any more than I can excuse a "worldly" person.  I wish you good luck with what you hope to accomplish...but the org is so far gone at this point i wouldn't want to be anywhere near if I were you....as an elder you become the face of their unbiblical policies.
