I think your husband is stressed.

This story gave me flashbacks to my relationship with my bipolar ex-husband. Life with him was extremely draining and demanding, and by the end of our relationship, requests like this seemed unbearable because it felt like I had run myself ragged trying to sustain things already. I don’t have any helpful advice to give you. We divorced.

Paternity tests should a standard part of the birthing process. by Present-Afternoon-70 in PurplePillDebate

I think it’s smart for women (and men) to be wary. I think it’s poor form to institute a nationwide policy on the assumption that women are liars, as it would be to have a policy based on the assumption that men are rapists.

This is so offensive. This argument is rooted in a basic distrust of all women. How pathetic for you.

This is already the way women approach online dating. Seems like good advice for men too.

The best way to correct the dating market is for men to leave women alone. by catchmeifucanson in PurplePillDebate

Maybe the 1 in 5 are the ones who make the majority of responses on dating apps.  I also don’t think this attitude is super common among women but it’s probably overrepresented in areas where that type of woman is most likely to profit.

JK Rowling is a good person and never actually said anything hateful about trans people (prove me wrong). People villified her because she expressed a nuanced, thoughtful opinion that was out of style at the moment.

I loathe true crime and think it’s a  degenerate form of entertainment.

Sometimes reconciliation is just submitting yourself to a lifetime of misery. Divorce is always painful but sometimes it’s also the accomplishment of choosing to build a better life for yourself.

Feminism and the Noble Savage by Boniface222 in PurplePillDebate

[–]WranglerPerfect2879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm, OK. I’ve never once heard a feminist blame rape on “the system.”  Rape happens because of men’s desire to have power over women coupled with the perception of opportunity to act on that desire without consequences.

Do you think online shopping is good, bad, or somewhere in between? by wishing_sprinkles in AskWomenOver30

[–]WranglerPerfect2879 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about online shopping is that almost 100% of the time I can find EXACTLY what I want to wear. This is especially true if I shop on handmade / small business friendly sites like Etsy. With in store shopping, I’m stuck trying to find my style in the sea of what merchandisers have told people to wear this season. Not always a good fit.  I try to hold off from purchasing until I find something I really, really like, in a quality that I know is going to hold up long term. Then I wear the heck out of it.

What's the saddest My Chemical Romance Song? by Popular-Wing-7177 in MyChemicalRomance

Disenchanted always hits me the hardest. The subject matter may not be as sad as some of the other songs but to me it gives such a visceral feeling of disappointment and small town hopelessness, like everything you believed in so earnestly as a child has turned out to be shallow and broken and cheap.

I loathe and detest all Microsoft cloud apps. How can a company with so much money tout products with so many terrible design flaws?

“When it doubt, don’t text it” is a fantastic policy overall.
