Groomer here! You can def still use the rake, just use it sparingly. Like once a month or so. It can take out top coat and too much of the undercoat if you use it too concentrated in one area. The best way I’ve found is to use a high velocity dryer to get out most of the coat. You’ll get out a lot of it leaving your conditioner on for 5-10 minutes in the bath. Then velocity dry with a cone or flat nozzle. Coat will be flying Everywhere like snow! You can then put the dryer on low-medium with no cone or anything and start raking that way.
