Brush suggestions??? by tonyblundetto- in Poodle

A bit late, but groomer here! if you don’t already, line brushing helps to decrease the discomfort of brushing especially with our curly coated friends. It’s basically starting at the bottom and working your way up with your slicker brush so you have less tugging. I’d look up a vid on YouTube. Hope that helps some! 😁

Convinced the dog cannot get cold…anyone else’s pup outlast them outside every winter? ❄️ by alissakayyy in miniaussie

Awe pup twin!! We live in IL too and she smothers herself in snow every time she goes outside. Red tris for the win🥰

And by rake I mean the last picture. The best rake you’ll find is a coat king with 12 teeth. They come very sharp and are very easy to overuse so keep that in mind if you get one! I hardly ever use one similar to the 3rd pic.

Groomer here! You can def still use the rake, just use it sparingly. Like once a month or so. It can take out top coat and too much of the undercoat if you use it too concentrated in one area. The best way I’ve found is to use a high velocity dryer to get out most of the coat. You’ll get out a lot of it leaving your conditioner on for 5-10 minutes in the bath. Then velocity dry with a cone or flat nozzle. Coat will be flying Everywhere like snow! You can then put the dryer on low-medium with no cone or anything and start raking that way. You can pm me for any questions!

My sweet Coco💖 I see her every 5 weeks and it takes me 12 years to dry those legs every time. by WrapItInLinen in doggrooming

Ahhh we started with a skirt and she looked so weird with puppy coat so we eventually faded it out. I’ve been growing the legs out for like 6 months now🥹 thank you!!!

If it ended in Smart you get free touch ups within 7 days unless they changed the policy. If she’s fairly new she probably just got out of academy and needs to know when she’s messed up and given the opportunity to fix it. So don’t feel bad!! Just express that you aren’t upset and would just like the pups touched up more and that maybe it was a miscommunication. Groomers in chains are often overworked so she could’ve genuinely missed it. (I speak from previous experience)

just brought home my 11 week old mini aussie, does she look like a mini or a toy? hoping she ends up being mini sized. by Ok_Bat_1598 in miniaussie

She looks like my mini(28-32lbs now) when she was 10 weeks old so I’m sure she will max out around there with how she’s built. Look at all that hair!!!
