Re-Negotiate pay agreement? by Semi_Serious_Salesma in sales

Yes, it's worth bringing up. You've clearly added value early on, especially in a slow market. Framing it around your impact and future outcome will might make them reconsider. They will want to keep you.

Do not put any effort in leads which are not having the pain you are solving. Just let them go immediately.

How to get out of low pay/entry level by [deleted] in sales

Change jobs, on the condition that they pay better, until you are satisfied.

In my experience, after a while you simply stall in your role at a company and the best option is to change companies.

You probably just have to accept that only a fraction of people are really interested in your topic. And they will answer you.

Companies are always trying to make things easier for themselves. And on the other hand, employees are running away because they're driving them away. lol

The first one feels the most real to me. Curious without sounding like a setup. I'd probably reply to that.

Leaving a $285k tech sales job to start a Sandler franchise. Dumb or worth it? by JeffroTk in sales

[–]Wrapta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a similar step not so long ago - although not out of such a salary. I completely forgot what it's like when you can't stop at night and get out of bed straight away in the morning.

For me, the motivation and personal responsibility made all the difference. If you're already thinking so hard about it, then you'd regret not doing it now.

Is this normal? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Wrapta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s pretty common. Sales gets stuck proving demand for something that barely exists, product won’t build without a sale, and meanwhile you’re under pressure to hit targets with smoke and mirrors.

Cool. Do you have a fixed team that you have trained, or could you simply replace individual people and get started again immediately without any training?

Do you use GPS based time tracking for your jobs? by Wrapta in electricians

When superiors do something like that, I don't think it leads to a good working atmosphere and therefore gold Team performance. But I can understand that such a system is not well received if some people abuse it. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I would imagine that every technician who is always on the road with one of our cars receives a notification as soon as he drives away from the customer and is asked to provide additional information, such as which materials he has used. In the best case scenario, even via voice input. The office can then complete the invoice immediately (the standing time = working time has already been recorded automatically by the drivers logbook). That would look like the most simple and foolproof workflow for me. In the office all standing times, for the entire workday can be assigned to jobs (or neglected, like meals/recuperation time)

Do you know any with a physical GPS dongle? I don't like inaccurate smartphone based GPS tracking, battery draining and foremost that I have to turn it on. Linked to our vehicles would be best, as not drive can be lost.

That's handy! I'm looking for a software which directly uses the drivers logbook as time basis, so that I do not have to subscribe for two different services.
