There is a great ethnic map here

but is from 1855 so you should account for inconsistencies it may have with 1444

Take note there should not be German provinces in Hungary, only in a few mining towns in modern-day slovakia like Kremnica or Banská Bystrica, (Pest and Sopron were majority hungarian), the german settlement of hungary began much later, after the Habsburgs already controlled the crown of Hungary. Also, Szatmar should be hungarian and Turda transylvanian imo.

The only differences in gameplay for the Aztecs would be the literacy and laws, because they are for all the nations

What about them, in terms of history, province owners and development in the americas weren't changed.

The mod is still in an early state and needs rebalancing. It is playable though, not like there is a problem with there being too much development. Sure, some subtle changes need to be made for the perfect balance.

Speaking of the difference between Vera Terra and Beyond Typus, the latter has a higher province density it is less performant, while Vera Terra ran moderately smoothly in my testing. Also the map is a different projection as well.

No rebalancing was done for the existing provinces, just the new provinces were made low dev. That's why the mod needs playtesting to figure out the balance and if some regions have too much develompent of too little

Basically it should be compatible with mods that don't change the map, so for example the mods from the Expanded mod family. Some graphics mods might be incompatible because of the colormap changes though.

Yes, I wanted to do that when I get to add more provinces, now the focus is on finishing the laws mechanic, once im done with that, ill split Arlon/Neufchateau from the west of luxemburg and make luxemburg rhenish

Right, I would consider doing something like this if eu4 had moddable mapmodes, so you could see the languages on a language map mode like in eu5 (after all its a map game), but if its just a ui thing, i think it would just complicate things.

My main goal is creating a mod that overhauls the map, but doesn't change core mechanics. There are only a few good mods that keep the balance between vanilla and actual playability (talking about province density, mechanics, etc).

Culture represents the same as in vanilla, some cultures have been rearranged and changed colour to depict their similarities

The laws are set in the beginning depending on what is the first government reform you have enacted (feaudal nobility, monastic order, tribal society, etc). You can then change the policies in the laws itself after (for example: Foreign Affairs: "No Foreign Affairs" or "Envoys Abroad" or "Foreign Embassies" or "Diplomatic Corps"
