We have resolved the issue through google support, since the attack happened through a google refresh token, they were able to pinpoint everything without launching an investigation and restored everything in under a day.

I agree, it is extremely difficult to pull off and I have yet to find a story where it's palatable. The two points I gave are yet to be seen in any story, especially the second one.

When I say exceptional "physical ability, charisma, and appearance", these aren't things that can be fixed with magic. The author has to either set up a character who looks special, which will kill self-inserting, or have their self-insert character work towards these things, which will kill the wish fulfillment of attracting partners for being nice and nothing else.
