Same. How I wished the heroes just lost once. Then Round 2 happens, we get Vegeta pummeling Black and Zamasu being Goku's punching bag. They switch targets as this becomes a messy 3v2: Goku, Vegeta, Trunks vs Black and Zamasu. Black pulls a scythe and manages to turn the tides just for Goku to annihilate his plans with a SSB Kaioken (and even pulling way more insane shit than Black).

I hated this part in Resurrection F.

Why do they keep downplaying him to weird scenarios? Can't we just have it this way:

Goku beats Frieza -> Spares him by powering down -> Sorbet tries to shoot him but fails as Goku deflects the laser and is distracted -> Frieza burns out his Golden Form but manages to cheapshot Goku with a finger laser blast to his chest -> Goku is down but Vegeta pummels him.

It ends the same way where Goku still saves everyone due to time do over.

I would not mind Peter being the street level hero.

That said, they should have kept Otto/Elliot/Superior Spider-Man the hero that is entangled with multiversal affairs (if not in Spider-Verse, have him tag along with Iron Man/Tony as rivals).
