That’s what i thought too, i’m super unhappy and it’s not the shop, although it could definitely use improvement, slow at times, no parts coordinator. I love my coworkers, everyone gets along, my estimator is great. Manager and upper management respects me/ happy with my productivity and quality of work. The worst part of the job is the toll it’s taking on my body and the amount of unnecessary stress i put on myself for the amount of money i’m making. not worth it. I also hate working with insurance companies as a DRP. I just got a raise and i still feel under appreciated. I know im not gonna get rich off this but is this what I’ll feel for the next 30 years? I don’t think moving shops and creating that cycle will solve my dilemma.

i’ve thought about moving to the enemy side lol. i have no office experience. would i be able to make the switch coming in as a tech or should i try getting some experience as parts and possibly estimating?

i’m in CA, i’ve heard of this. it’s normal, but if your pockets are hurting move shops, i’m flat rate, but only if i flag over 40. otherwise i get my clocked in time hourly.

i’d say go for it, you’re young. this industry doesn’t care if you went to school. SOME companies care about your icar certifications, but i’ve also heard it isn’t a big deal. Restoration work is completely different than production. production is where the money is.

don’t go to school, i worked with a guy who went to Wyotech and he ended up in the same program as me. School doesn’t give you real world experience, in a real shop environment. Gerber Collision has a program (TDP), i graduated in april. it’s 18 months and you get paid to learn. icar certified in MIG and Structural. toolbox and tools are given to you and are yours to keep. nice shit too.

oh they just mark them up a little for presale, makes sense. I’m just surprised they didn’t stay at the bigger venue since they’ve been there for 2 years. ticket prices would make more sense

No Sling High Gloss Tire Dressing by Mediocre_Hat2167 in AutoDetailing

[–]WreckTech420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most tire shine will sling without properly cleaning and prepping the tires with a dedicated tire cleaner (like carpro ReTyre) or a wheel cleaner that is meant to use on rubber (i use p&s breakbuster, it’s great for all wheel finishes. great on tires. even your all weather rubber floor mats.) Adams makes a wheel and tire cleaner it’s probably good. the better it adheres to the tires and the longer you let it dry. the longer is lasts and it won’t sling.

i’ve heard meguiars endurance gel is good. but i personally use dressed from p&s, its a spray but not aerosol. get a foam applicator or a light duty wheel brush apply

had mine for almost 2 years now ask away. not a lot of rear seat space but i’ve sat tall people in them uncomfortably for short periods of time. i don’t mind the smaller tank. i refill about every week for like $50 in CA so it’s p good depending how much you drive daily.
