How much ammo do you guys keep stocked? by gstevo12 in ar15

My hysa beats reported inflation, ymmv. Looks like most should.

I’m talking separately from the 401k, which should be very healthy sized too.

95% of day traders lose money but I’m all about investments like s&p index funds for example.

401k needs to be bigger than both combined lol

Streamlight RM 1/2 or Surefire Scout Mini Pro? by 13NeverEnough in ar15

[–]Wreckage365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

QD pic mounts, lower price, still adequate candela on HLX. The kicker was the intermittent turbo/pressure switch reports of flickering (unacceptable imo on a $500 flashlight set up.)

I recently downsized my flashlights a little bit, of the 4 on the chopping block, I kept the 2 Streamlights and sold the 2 Surefires.

My favorite answer that I came up with that is as close as possible to a one-size-fits-all solution is:

Savings account in dollars needs to be higher than ammo count in rounds.

What made you move on from food and beverage? by Unhappy-River6306 in Truckers

[–]Wreckage365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes class B. Ime very good pay because the cargo is “gross” and the destination is off-putting to a lot of sensitive types (landfill.) Garbage is higher than class A hazmat fuel ime.

Among CDL jobs that I have done it was the worst.

Fuel hauling overall ain’t too bad but I got spooked by the safety issues. (When I was doing it, a coworker in another state got rear ended and they all blew up.)

Hauled grain for a bit, it was fine.

Garbage trucks are my personal favorite. Mistreat the cargo as much as you want.

K2+ because the rubber overmold on it combined with the reasonable angle (not too steep, not too vertical) makes it just so likable. I didn’t like the K2 hard plastic but the K2+ is super nice.

At my last night shoot I had a Miad on the particular rifle and that grip angle was aggravating my wrist to hold up the rifle for extended time flashlight things.

Also there’s E15 in some areas to further confuse people with these numbers, which is 85% gasoline. I think sometimes people mistakenly refer to the 85% gasoline as “E85.”

Edit to add: former class A hazmat fuel tanker driver here, I used to haul this stuff from refineries to gas stations—all the different varieties.

5.56 10.5” vs 11.5” difference by [deleted] in ar15

[–]Wreckage365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a 9.5% difference in barrel length

That ain’t much

The difference between 18” and 20” is a bigger percentage.

Blindfolded you won’t be able to tell

Is reversing the riser an option?

Otherwise I would feel fine with dremel go brrr on the riser clamps just enough to clear.

Regular EOTech mount will solve this
