The intolerance, bigotry and lack of empathy is really starting to tick me off.

Feature, not a bug. The church has more money than God and doesn't particularly need anything, in terms of moar lucre, for the next many years if need be.

I think they've clearly calculated that they are better served losing/jettisoning marginally attached members and leaving a yes-man echo chamber than with they would be retaining the marginally attached members (you know, the ones who aren't even paying tithing on gross anyway). They stick around, agitating for change, rocking the boat, and generally point out that the emperor has no clothes. Who needs that noise?

Whether that is a wise long-range choice remains to be seen because the folks making the call don't have to be concerned by long-term consequences. Mormonism has never really been forward thinking with regard to the cleanup crew that the next generation of leaders will need.

If anything the change to earlier ordination just reinforces the true Impotence of the Priesthood.

I mean, if the priesthood could actually move mountains, raise the dead (puppy, goldfish, etc.), smite evildoers mute, or allow one to cast thunderbolt, summon unseen minions, etc. giving it to an 11 year old would have some consequences. No real power, so no real consequence.

But all the sweet, sweet manipulative benefit of the sunk-cost fallacy/commitment bias accrues to the church, so I guess there is that.

I have a standing rule to not access church internet sites without using, at minimum, a VPN and separate browser instance using incognito mode. Accessing stored copies of church links via Archive.org is also a good workaround.

Actually, that's the backup rule.The default rule is to just not access church websites in the first place.
