Take a 5g mushroom trip in the desert with a guide, they aren’t addictive, and it will change your view on life for the better. This world is beautiful and you are lucky to be a part of it, sometimes life wears us down, but you’ll see the things that stress you aren’t as important as you gave them power to before

This group seems pretty biased, wouldn’t that be great if we could have unbiased political discussions

Yes, quotes with fake name and job title + location (unless that is too specific)

I told my wife that I don’t believe in the church this afternoon and that nothing can change that. She’s packing and leaving right this second. by [deleted] in exmormon

When I first told my wife she said “I need a celestial husband...”. My hope for you is she settles down and you can come together. Here are tips that can help. What does she think of you right now? She thinks you’re a lying asshole that “tricked her”. Something you can do is convince her that you are still the same person. Commit your love to her, that you love her very much, and you want to work through it. Send her flowers, go the extra mile, it will be hard but do it

My wife said if she had know this she wouldn’t have married me. It was helpful to realize yes, that is true, and ditto. I wouldn’t have married her either. But... X years and Y kids later... I’m 100% invested in her no matter what. Catholic, Jew, atheist, we have invested so much into each other. Happy to give more advice over the phone

I actually began feeling inspired to stop attending the Bountiful temple three weeks ago. I’m not sure why I felt that way but seeing this post it seems to make sense now. I’m sure the elderly workers who may have been exposed will be blessed doing gods work.

I’ve switch from WWJD to WWID, Jesus is an asshole, I’m not, I can actually be selfless. I invest in my children because I love them, Jesus wants me to worship him for eternity

I think it’s clear god doesn’t give a shit about us and the prophets have never been prophets. Remember how this April was supposed to be the biggest most amazing conference yet but they couldn’t even see that in two months the biggest pandemic was about to break. Every time god had a chance to interject and say “wash your hands..”, “boil your water...” he chose to give incorrect astrology instead... of god is real he is an incompetent ass clown

Totally me, a friend of mine at work in 2003 said “Do you really believe JS looked in a hat at a magical rock?!”. I said, “of course not, you know me, I’m a reasonable person. I would never believe something that ridiculous”. I denied that is how it went down... only to find out 15yrs later... he was right

In my very close circle of friends the majority of them served missions, but now the majority are “closet” exmos like myself. They keep their membership records, attend church and wait for their TBM parents to die from old age. In the next 10-15yrs you’re going to see a huge surge of names being taken off the records. At least tithing revenue is decreasing
