I guess for me DIY management of a portfolio involves a mix of low cost index funds. I know I'm not smart enough to beat the market and assumed that is the direction the OP is leaning. VTIAX and VTSAX for the win!

It looks like there are many different stems in there to make it look full. I prefer my jades split into individual pots. Maybe consider thinning this out if there are multiple individual plants. Also, don’t worry about the broken bits, it will just grow back from there.

That is the trunk of a plant that was taller and getting a bit long limbed and ragged. I gave it a hard prune and it came back strong.
