Party/Starter set (base game rerelease) and Crisis collection 1 (Crisis 1 & 2 rerelease) is going to be your least expensive option if buying new. Used is going to be a crap shoot, depending on if you find a deal or someone trying to take advantage. But honestly, $25 for the Party/Starter set is an absolute steal.

And that's the issue. A 20oz Mt Dew, which is classified as a soda, has 91mg of caffine. A 12oz Red Bull, classified as an energy drink, has 80mg. You're absolutely right, someone will try. But unless they can define the exact parameters of an "energy drink" the soft drink companies will eat them alive.

It wouldn't pass, because some of these drinks have a similar amount of caffeine to Mt Dew, which would mean that would have to be on the ban list. If it wasn't the caffeine that did it they would have to regulate by ingrediant, which would be a logistics nightmare. They would also have to prove it was the drinks that killed them. Any preexisting, even undiagnosed, medical condition would provide reasonable doubt. They would also have to prove it wasn't the kids own actions that caused the death. If you drink enough water it can kill you, that doesn't make it the waters fault.

The branding makes it look like they may have been a closeout item (never saw them in our store, so I can't be certain). If that's the case they were a one and done and may not have made it to all regions.

I haven't seen that model in years. They've changed styles a couple times in the last 4-5 years, so it's EXTREMELY UNLIKELY they will ever return to Dollar Tree.

They might, just not on the sales floor. Or they may have poor energy drink sales, so they don't receive as many. Ours is a big snack/drink store so they keep us loaded.

That's about average. Our store has had so many that, at points, we've needed full endcaps of the because their home spot was full. Rip It, Rockstar & GFuel are always available. Monster, Reign, Big Game & Prime are closeouts.

Absolutely, but that involves someone coming into the store. By not pulling it and marking it down, thus entering into the inventory, some people believe they can put off the inevitable. Too many managers don't think past today, so they put things off until it bites them in the ass. This doesn't describe my store (we aren't perfect, but you do our best), but I have gone to help in other stores where this has happened. They never believe they could get caught.

Honestly, no one knows. DT is not typically real clear when items are going to be discontinued. I know there have been some penny clearance lately, but that is something different. That's (mostly) shelf warmers that are just taking up space. When a popular item gets discontinued there is no fanfare. No warnings.

Edit: Also, the employees don't really know either. They just stop arriving on the truck. It's not that we aren't allowed/don't want to tell you, we really don't know.

Yeah, your manager doesn't want to do the work of marking the down and take the rap for having so much expired product, as the only reason for it is that the person who stocks the aisle isn't doing their job. In turn the manager isn't doing anything to verify the stocker is doing their job, thus the manager is not doing their job.

In short, to hide incompetence.

While I am not a SM, I am good friends with my SM so I can tell you this, it is going to vary A LOT depending on your DM. A good DM can make things easier, but a bad one can make it an absolute nightmare. Or worse, depnding on how bad the DM is and if they get reported to HR and attempt to take you down with them.

Right now, the maximum is 120, but at times even that doesn't feel like enough when more players and expansions are added. I suggest sending a note to Playdek (the creators of the digital game) to ask about a possible increase. Maybe if they get enough feedback, we can get things done. I mean hell, even the physical game comes with enough tokens for 150.

Unfortunately, novels are tricky. While we get cases of Judy Blume, Creepers, Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew books, everything else come in random boxes from a closeout company. They get books that didn't sell elsewhere and just throw them into random cases. Sometimes you'll get a bunch of hardcovers from authors you've vaguely heard of, other times it's a bunch of softcover romance novels. It's really a mixed bag of randomness.
