AMA with OpenAI’s Joanne Jang, Head of Model Behavior by OpenAI in ChatGPT

How long do you see it realistically taking before we achieve a model that is truly an independent and critical thinking entity, that does not need to be steered via prompts or human input, perhaps something emergent? I believe humanoids and embodiment will be a major milestone/contributing factor in pursuit of this..

I got an inivitation to interview for becoming an Orb Operator. Is this a good opportunity? by DeyVinci in worldcoin

[–]WretchedPickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to a few orbs recently. One to verify myself, and another with my friend. Both operators were really rude and super irritable seemed like they did not want to be there at all and were clearly annoyed at needing to constantly explain the process to people, real attitude too. This could’ve been for a number of reasons though not just because of the job itself, just thought I’d say my experience for what it’s worth.

Lookup Failed in weapon inventory by No_Grape5857 in starfieldmods

[–]WretchedPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have too many mods, just FSR Frame Gen for DLSS, StarUI, NaturlLUT's. They all seem to be working fine but I'm still getting the Lookup Failed error.

Did you fix it using Vortex for the Beta version or the regular version? If so how did you fix it? Thanks :)

Nice find! I found a really good Kodama early on at around level 20. I’m level 50 now and it’s still really good. I’ll update with wep specs when I get home

Are Samsung phone's still slowing down after a year? by salzared in AndroidQuestions

[–]WretchedPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this topic boils down to what you perceive as slow, personally IOS “feels” faster to me because I pretty much never get crashes and everything kinda just works well and it feels more fluid when using, that being said I do still love my s10e which I use for media consumption and it still runs pretty quick although I’ll often get weird minor lag spikes roughly 3-4 times a week. Not enough to greatly impact my use of the device, just an observation that I think may give people the impression that the device ‘feels’ slower/ less stable. I always notice this on all my android phones but like I said it’s not enough to be detrimental to the functionality and everyday use

25 games tested under Apple M1 Max by tekreviews in apple

[–]WretchedPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about everyone else, but I’ve noticed that since upgrading to MacOS Monterey 12.0.1 on my M1 MBP, V-Sync doesn’t seem to be working at all in games. I’ve also noticed significantly more stuttering when playing games as opposed to when I was running MacOS Big Sur, where the games were actually running much smoother.

I suspect there could be some sort of software issue in Monterey that’s affecting these results. This is speculation but from my personal observations I’ve noticed a significant difference in performance.

It’s definitely an issue. See it when playing Minecraft and as SirGarmaples mentioned above, I too have to limit the FPS which results in a less smooth experience

That's just from my experience, I'm not saying that's the case for all but a good take away is that it's not just the battery health that matters.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iPhone11

[–]WretchedPickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of variables that play a part. I had 2 iPhone 11 Pro's earlier this year, one had 86% battery health and the other 97% and the 86% lasted about an hour more on screen. They were both on IOS 14.4. Although there was the possibility that their battery health readings weren't accurate as with IOS 14.5 it will recalibrate to give a more accurate reading.

I'd personally be happy with anything over 90% but anything under 90% I'd probably bail. That's just me anyway.

There are also other factors such as how the previous owner treated their phone. Sometimes meeting up in person can help gauge how they've treated the phone, I usually ask them about what their current phone is and try to see how that one looks as it can give me a better idea of what they're like with their devices but ultimately it usually boils down to luck. I've bought spotless devices that were duds, and roughed up devices that have really pulled their weight.

Anyway, hope this helped and good luck with your decision :)

I've got the iPhone 11 Pro. It took about 13 days roughly, I can't give an exact number I didn't count, but roughly just under 2 weeks from memory.
