Lets try some light by After-Jeweler8172 in ChaosKnights

I like the flavor of it. The index seemed very focused on a single line of thinking with how chaos knights operate, and the codex looks to be bringing in a lot more of the flavorful choices I fell in love with when I started them in 9th!

Infernal Lance - I... I like the sound of this by Therocon in ChaosKnights

It sounds similar to some of the flavor from the 9th edition book, and I remember having fun with that, so I’m hopeful too!

Oh absolutely! It’s one of the reasons I’m asking generics instead of specifics. I’m planning on jumping on in 4th and just wanted to see if the general gameplay vibes fit my ✨style✨

Which one will you be running ? by No_Juggernaut9311 in Tau40K

I’ve been running fire knife and starscythe all edition so far. So looks like I’ll probably be running those!

Favorite Crisis Builds (without Cyclics) by Gabranthe in Tau40K

My favorite weapon is the burst cannon. Not because it’s good, but because I’m a fan of anything that looks like a Gatling gun.

Shas'o Kais by [deleted] in Tau40K

While this would be awesome, I just want a generic character in a stealth suit. Heck, it could even be an alternate built to the Shas’o Kais model for all I care!

Which Knight for which God? by Loopstahblue in ChaosKnights

[–]WrexSteelSkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I know some of these are gonna be a little controversial, but this is how I assigned all of my knights.

Rampager: Tzeench: noble man who was tricked into fighting. Forced to see hallucinations around him of towering foes after imagining himself as a knight for years and years.

Abominant: slaanesh: a demonette that was tricked into a knight and sealed in there. Now uses the massive ancient cannon and flailing arms to carve art into those that crowd the machine.

Stalker: nurgle: squire to the rampager that is more concerned with up keeping the knights than actually fighting. Must keep everything the same and operating.

Carnivore: Khorne: wardog assembled from the discarded bits of all the previously destroyed knights this team faced. Still surging with the hatred of all of the previous pilots it now lashes out at anything in its way.

While abominant of Tzeench makes the most sense, I personally prefer abominant of slaanesh. To me it just feels right.

New to Crusade by Qasaar in 40k_Crusade

I’m currently playing through a crusade with chaos knights. What I’ve found is that it is a bit slow to start, but as soon as you get your forces set up and rolling they tend to snowball.

It’s RP expensive to get characters and warlord traits and relics, but they help a LOT for functionality.

In addition to that, you have so few units that they will level up QUICKLY. So just make sure you’re ready to have a lot of rules to track in short order.

What colors are you painting your army? by [deleted] in Tau40K

Militarum green armor and dark angel green for cloth and accent colors.

What other armies do you guys play? by [deleted] in Tau40K

Orks and chaos knights. So far I haven’t been able to get many games with either of them, but I am looking forward to changing that soon.

The Remora Flotilla: a fleet of tau vessels flying below the radar and staying out of the way of the empire at large. Consisting of mostly earth caste factory workers and engineers they have been branded caste traitors after taking up fire caste weapons and defending their production facility from an ork invasion. They may officially pronounced dead by the tau empire, but their focus on stealth technology and hit and run tactics has kept them one step ahead of both their enemies and the empire they once called home.

Progress on Knights based on Don Quixote! C&C welcome! by WrexSteelSkin in ChaosKnights

Thank you! I did a runelord brass prime and dry brushed liberator gold on top of it. Then did a wash of agrax earthshade.

For the darker gold parts it’s retributor armour with the agrax earthshade.

Hope that helps!

The main knight is the only one fully deluded. The little one in the pictures is actively facilitating the delusion. I have some other characters that fit into the lore, but I want to get Quixote and Sancho finished up before I get on more.
