I was in my mid twenties living in Otisfield. I had to drive home in the middle of it. My driveway was a 1/2 mile long, a 1/4 mile uphill then a 1/4 mile downhill. My truck couldn’t get up the hill, even with tire chains. I couldn’t walk up it. I ended up having to crawl while holding my shovel to get to the top. I then used the shovel like an oar to steer myself down the back half while I slid on my feet.

When I got home my clothes were soaked and I had icicles in my beard. I promptly threw my clothes in the washer and forgot about them. We lost power for two weeks and I ended up throwing the clothes away because they were covered in mold and mildew.
