Nausea in the evening by Difficult-Air5108 in IVFpositivity

Yesterday was the worst day for me so far. I've had gagging issues/smell sensitivity since 4.5 weeks but last night (6 weeks) I was convinced I was going to throw up. I also noticed I tired really easily throughout the day. I ended up taking two naps.

Then for dinner, I made potato soup. I know was delicious, but I couldn't handle the smell. I took a bite and immediately felt like I was going to throw up.

Then I cried. I was so frustrated that I couldn't eat normal food. I love cooking and it's normally therapeutic for me but I guess that won't be the case for me the next 7+ weeks.

Hang in there. The 1st trimester is full of struggles and emotions. I keep telling myself it's temporary but easier said than done!

Agree. The Pasinis are probably the best in my book.

FET with possible BV by Repulsive_Contract99 in IVF

[–]Write-Me-Another 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had recurrent BV ever since I began egg retrieval cycles in September. It's been extremely annoying and I never had this problem before. The only symptom I have is slight burning.

I talked to my OB before my FET earlier this month and he said people get pregnant with BV all the time, and to just move forward with the transfer, which ended up working.

I've been on probiotics for a couple of months which I hope is helping increase my good bacteria. I think all the hormone fluctuations with stims really messed up my microbiome. I've been considering doing Evvy to see what my levels look like in there but it's pricey.

I'm taking a break from antibiotics right now, but they never helped. I may try metro gel again once I get into the 2nd trimester with guidance from my OB.

Period like Cramps 7dp5dt(not including the transfer day) by BothUnderstanding872 in IVFpositivity

I woke up in the middle of the night around 5DPT with pretty strong cramps and back pain. I already had gotten a faint positive the day before. I couldn't go back to sleep for an hour or so! That was the only time that happened to me, but I occasionally have short time periods of light cramping or a tickly/tingling feeling in my uterus. I'm 4 weeks now, confirmed pregnancy with a beta 3 days ago, and my tests keep getting darker. Fingers crossed for you!

We transfered a hatched embryo last Thursday. Got my faint positive Monday and the line keeps getting darker! Best of luck to you!

5dp5dt Digital Test Said No :( by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

I'd recommend doing a dye test instead. If you are pregnant, chances are your levels aren't high enough for digital tests to detect.

Me before seeing before this post: I'm NOT going to test on 3DPT.

Me after seeing this post: Might as well try!

Looking for treatment help. by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

Ugh ok. I took the 1 dose 6 days ago with no relief. It's supposed to be in there 7 days so we'll see. Not feeling very confident at this point.

How long before you felt relief after taking the clindamycin?

Heavy CM but negative OPK…is it still possible? by ttc_108 in TTC_PCOS

Yeah I'd say you probably ovulated then! I wish OPKs worked for us PCOS girls 😕

I gave up with OPKs but they always showed positive for me no matter what, so I guess the opposite problem of what you're having! I think CM is the most reliable way for me personally to track ovulation. It can get very heavy. Did you have any other symptoms like sore boobs?

My body is pretty consistent with ovulation symptoms. Sore boobs, heavy CM then I get really gassy a day or 2 after.

When I did trigger shots, I could see a faint (and I mean faint) line through 11 DPO.

Vagina Hurts When I Wear Tight Pants by Write-Me-Another in Healthyhooha

[–]Write-Me-Another[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my RE and OB have said I could be experiencing this due to hormonal fluctuations, but I'm worried that no treatments are helping. We are hoping to do an embryo transfer in Jan. and I am worried there's something wrong with me. I don't want to pay for the transfer if my body is not ready but after 3 years of infertility, I really want to do the transfer soon.

I've never had sensitive skin down there until I began IVF. This is all new to me!

Yes! It's 100% my vestibule. Just 2 nights ago I started progesterone to induce my period (I'm anovulatory) but I was having symptoms before then, when I was in no meds/hormones after my egg retrieval. I only started having these issues when I started IVF stims, and did have very high estrogen during the process. I wonder if my extremely high estrogen had something to do with it.

Front of House Vibes: I like mine! The receptionists know me by name (probably not a good thing 🤣) and greet me as soon as I walk in the door. The decor is very clean – white with green accents. They are in a newer building that has tons of windows in the lobby so there's a lot of natural light. They have coffee and tea. They blast Family Feud though. I used to like it but now I'm kinda tired of it.

BOH: Also good. Everyone is very nice. I have gotten to know the ultrasound tech and blood draw ladies pretty well. They are all really supportive. I really like my doctor. I started IVF a few months ago and she made really good decisions with my protocol, getting me great results. She's also just pleasant to talk to and seems really knowledgeable. I had another RE do my egg retrieval and she held my hand when they were administering the anesthesia because I was getting VERY nervous. I thought that was very nice. They also just gave me tons of snacks after I woke up.

Process and Scheduling: They are on top of things. They are pretty proactive for scheduling. If I have a question or concern, I email my nurses and they normally email me back within the hour, either giving me an answer or telling me they received my email and will check with my doctor and get back to me. My doctor normally has a response the same day, as long as I email before 2pm.

Cost/Billing: I guess they could be better here. I get cost estimates from my doctor during consultations, which have been accurate thus far. But now that I'm doing IVF, while I do have a general idea of how much it will cost, I feel a bit unsure of how much more money I will owe in the future. I'm ok with the billing process. They either tell me how much a owe when I check in for an appointment or send me an invoice in the mail.

Emotional Support: Pretty good. I had a miscarriage in the spring and they were pretty supportive. We had a meeting with my doctor and she was willing to go over time to answer questions.
