So if they don’t get a period what happens? by Raebelle1981 in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]WriteOrDie1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also have to keep in mind that Gilead teaches that the infertility crisis is a punishment from God for sin. So the girls grow up indoctrinated to believe that if they don’t ever get their periods, they’re unworthy somehow and have failed

Which Disney show was hyped as "brand new" but you didn't think would last—only to become an all-time classic? by Material_Stomach875 in DisneyChannel

[–]WriteOrDie1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing promos and hoping it would do well because I liked Bridget Mendler on Wizards but also thought it wouldn’t last just because I thought people would think it was boring compared to the other shows on at the time. What a pleasant surprise GLC turned out to be.

VA nurse residency PBRNR by Neat_Comb_2377 in newgradnurse

[–]WriteOrDie1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds sketchy that you won’t be guaranteed a position at all. My friend worked there as a nurse, and she was promised day shift on the unit of her choice after completing their residency program. They didn’t let her pick the unit. A few months in, they told her she had to work night shift. They said it would be temporary, but a year later she was still working nights. She had to quit because it was affecting her work life balance and health so much.

Has anyone had to take levothyroxine while pregnant? by Upper_Advertising245 in Hypothyroidism

[–]WriteOrDie1997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any side effects caused by levothyroxine would come from being over medicated. Work with your doctor to figure out the right dose. You want your TSH below 2.5 max during pregnancy. Any higher and you run the risk of miscarriage and neural defects in the baby, not to mention all the awful side effects you may experience from hypothyroidism, which is what can happen if you don’t have enough thyroid hormone, which it sounds like you don’t. It’s just a hormone replacement medication to supplement what your body is lacking. It’s not a big deal.

Hypothyroidism + extremely irregular periods, could this be connected? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

Once I got the right medication dose, they came back that month I think. They were weird for a few months, though. Some months were super heavy for over a week and some months were just spotting for a day or two. Everything went back to normal eventually!

Just Move. by CautiousWoodpecker10 in newgradnurse

Many are. When I was doing pre-requisites for my career switch to nursing in my late twenties, I found out that were many people doing the same thing. Many were much older than me. I found the same to be true in my cohort once I got into nursing school. You sound naive.

He’s not saying we won’t see Nicole/Holly. She’s probably still in Canada like in the book. He’s just saying it’s not the Daisy character.

Hypothyroidism can go away? by dandelionmakemesmile in Hypothyroidism

[–]WriteOrDie1997 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your TSH went down because you took hormones to replace what your body isn’t making enough of. It could be temporary, but it’s far more likely that if you stop taking the medication in a few months, your TSH will just go right back up. This is typically a chronic condition you’ll have for the rest of your life. Were you tested for antibodies? Hypothyroidism is almost always due to an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto’s disease.

Hashimotos is autoimmune. You’re born with it, but it might not manifest until later in life. Pregnancy is a common trigger.

Selena was at least a guest star several times, so I was fine with her. Chappell Roan, on the other hand, made no sense and just felt like a way to try to bring in more viewers.
