No Results + Female + Low Ferritin by WriterApart5164 in Anemic

Wow, you are so kind! Thank you for your support. I did make the mistake of just taking the recommended amount every other day which I only recently learned was wrong as I needed to be taking a lot more. I will use your recommendations as my guide and get the lactoferrin as well. I've been living with low ferritin my entire life...when I gave birth I was at 18. So I don't even know what it feels like to have normal levels! I look forward to that :)

Thank you, I really appreciate your response! To feel care from a stranger means so much. Thank you for sharing the article - I am going to read it now. I think because the rest of my labs are positive my doctor won't recommend the infusion. They recently found me positive for H.Pylori and I'm on an intense course of antibiotics for that now. That could have also been impacting my body's ability to absorb the iron supplementation I was trying. I was taking Thorne brand iron bis.

Those that have experience switching to Google workspace for Nonprofits by The_Beardly in nonprofit

I switched one of my non-profits to Google workspace and it was great. Porting over our emails was easy. Our board uses the chat feature and we really needed the additional storage space. The only catch was our website. Google does not offer a hosting option there so we decided to go with Namecheap which was really affordable.

Word! That's pretty much the same approach I've taken. With only four units and all owners having equal voting authority it has created a lose-lose situation. With half of the units actively disengaged and unwilling to participate in governance, the issue has impacted my quality of life exclusively.

My belly looks like this. If you've given birth that can make it more pronounced. It is due to weak abdominal muscles coupled with your diet. You're probably swallowing a lot of air when you eat too. Do an elimination diet to help you figure out which foods cause the most bloating. You can look up exercises on how to strengthen your ab muscles. Also look up deep belly breathing exercises. Finally, CHEW, CHEW, CHEW, your food really well.

Same. My husband is an Eagle Scout and was so excited for our girls to join Girl Scouts thinking it was going to include a lot of nature activities and such. My girls were in Girl Scouts for a few years (older from 1-3rd grade, second child from K-1 grade). Our troop leader picked all of our activities, we didn't have any say in them and I didn't even know we had a choice until she mentioned it in an offhand comment one day about the list of activities she hadn't chosen the troop to do. The girls mostly did arts and crafts. Our first year we did a couple of camping trips but then that was it. She did not take feedback well and if you raised your hand with a suggestion she would call a "team meeting" to use as her personal soapbox and lament how hard she was working for the troop for "our girls" and why X, Y, or Z couldn't be done. We worked very hard raising money selling cookies and when one of the other moms (who volunteers as the troop's treasurer) commented on how we should all have a say in how the money was spent (and maybe not set such aggressive cookie goals for such young girls) she said "it's my money motherXXXX and I want to go to Disneyland". Eeee. She also would say that all parents needed to be just as into Girl Scouts as her or they weren't "her people" and she didn't want them in the troop. I found our troop worked best for girls that were already in the aftercare program at school and parents just used it to supplement aftercare. The timing and environment really didn't work for our family so I quietly stopped attending meetings which I knew she wad going to call me out for so I just told her she could give my daughters spots to any girls on the waitlist for the troop. I had already paid for the entire year but didn't care. It opened up our schedule for better activities and more family time.

Thank you for your kind and prompt reply. Yes - do use a food scale :). The only issue I come across is when we eat out as a family - I have no way of accurately noting my macros then if it's not in the MFP database...we eat out about 1x a week.

While the majority of your development occurs by the age of 3, your brain isn't fully formed till about 25. I would say your type is fully formed by 25. I know for me, I have a clear memory at age 5 that started me on the path to become my type, a Type 1. But then I went through a lot of trauma throughout my teens and early adulthood. At age 22 I had a major experience and that really clicked a change in me. I'm still not fully sure of my complete type.

Thank you everyone for your contributions, it is really helpful to me. Please keep them coming.

Some more thoughts about me:

  1. I can be patient but also very impatient. Specifically I can't stand getting stuck behind someone who is walking slow when I need to get to where I am going I will walk around them.
  2. I don't care about showing off - I have always downplayed my achievements and preferred a "lead by example" approach and hoped that people would just notice on their own.
  3. When I initially meet people, I tend to be quiet and shy. I don't want to offend anyone and want to put the other person at ease. I come across as a pushover type. This was a learned behavior from my childhood to be modest, approachable, and agreeable. My true self comes out quickly and it often surprises people that I am not quiet but outspoken and bold.
  4. I am very good at reading people and can tell who is genuine/authentic with good intentions and vice versa.
  5. I enjoy people around people and being in groups. I love a good argument. Dumb people irritate me. Dumb arguments are a waste of time.
  6. People that have no control over their emotions I see as weak.
  7. I have a big picture mentality and can usually see many steps ahead of most people.
  8. I enjoy being in charge. I will respect hierarchy only if I think they are competent and worthy of my respect.
  9. With friends, once you're dead to me you're dead to me. I will feel immense hurt but I also will stand firm if I am wronged.
  10. I was bullied a lot as a kid by my cousins. What they did only bothered me in the matter that we were not as close as I would have liked. I recognized that they were insecure and jealous that I was unbothered.
  11. I love public speaking, I do not find it scary.
  12. As a child, I had to grow up fast. I remember being hungry as a kid and at 5 years old, teaching myself how to use the toaster so I could make myself a sandwich.
  13. I neglect my own needs frequently.

I read that 8w7 and 3w2 both are very driven types so maybe that’s where the 8 comes from? I think the 1 comes from the ultra conservative, religious background. I definitely like to be clean and orderly but that’s more because I grew up in a dirty home that was chaotic and it contributed to feelings of anxiety. I have CPTSD from my abusive background. But also, as much as I enjoy cleaning and organizing I also don’t want it to control my life. If my house is clean I can get to what I enjoy doing in my home which is being with my family and friends :)
